I want to deploy a website in a computer where no webmatrix is installed. What are the requirement to run the website without webmatrix? And how do I configure IIS to run in startup with the site path?

I am trying to publish a sugarcrm site I created in webmatrix to my site hosted on godaddy, however when i go into the publish settings and enter the server info, passwords etc., I can only get the connection to validate for the FTP protocol setting. When i click the button to test and validate the connection for webdeploy instead of ftp, it tries then says connection timed out. How do I get this to work so that I can publish my site on godaddy?
View 3 RepliesMy hosting company states they support .net and razor. However after uploading my website made with webmatrix and razor *.cshtml pages. When i visit my website all i get is 404.17 error messages. As an testcase i decided to add an standard .aspx page. Visiting that page gives the same 404.17 error message :-(

According to my webhoster my web.config is wrong. However that one is generated by webmatrix. Besides my *.cshtml *.aspx a lot of files and directories are added to the bin folder. What can i check and what should my hosting provider check. When using the check compatibility the asp.net version is shown as unknown? My hosting provider claims my site is running asp.net 4.0 in integrated mode and that should be enough.
This might be a really stupid question and make you guys laugh. I've deployed my whole website using the copy website tool to my FTP server, but then how do I go and visit the site that I just deployed? The domain name is: H204716.[URL] however when I navigate there through my browser it says 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

View 8 Replieshow to structure our intranet. The way it's going right now is, that I'll create a web application that usually contains just a single web page and then deploy it. I'm using the file system deployment to deploy to a test server.
The file structure on this test server is something like "\serverwebintranetwebapplicationsAPP_NAME". I would create a folder on the server with whatever name to replace "APP_NAME" and then deploy into that folder. Everything deploys fine and is structured fine, none of the pages will load.
When try to load the page you get an error like: Could not load type 'WebInterface._Default'. The dll containing that code is definitely there. Inside the "APP_NAME" folder is the bin folder, config file, and the (usually) single aspx page. So for some reason, the web page can't find the dll files.

The db connection seems to work. I can create new users with the new user wizard control. And they show up in the databaser. But i cant log in. I use the log in control and just get "wrong password". I am sure i type the correct password as i made it very easy. here are my webconfig settings.

View 1 RepliesI have published my site using WebMatrix. In my local folder on my PC I've deleted some unnecessary files. And then published the updated site again. WebMaxtrix never give any indication it is going to delete files that are not found in an UPDATED published site. When browsing to my site and requesing the-supposed-to-be-deleted resources I still get them in my browser.

I'm learning to use webmatrix via the tutorials on the website. I've had success with all table operations, when only using one table. I'm using the following address to access the site uredi_let_padalce.cshtml?LetId=4 and the is code:

The page works if I write: where LetId=4 instead of @0. But if I leave the variable I get the following error: The column name cannot be resolved to a table. Specify the table to which the column belongs. [ Name of ambiguous column = LetId ] If I specify the table name LetId_PadalecId. LetId=@0, then I get the parameter missing error. How could I tell the server which LetId I want?

having 2 varables in query string, the first variable will remain same always but the value of second variable changes the actual error is, when i am using just the URL
