Write Out A Float In Specific Format?

Jun 7, 2010

In my repeater I have a float number that is shortened to a one decimal number (like 1,2 or 4,5 etc). It looks like this:

[Code]....

dt being my datatable containing the information shown on the page including my float number.

What's the code to make my label look like it does in the first example, with one decimal?

Unable To Display/write Specific Html If Model / Entity Is Null

Jun 28, 2010

Normally I work in ASP Classic, and am still a bit green on ASP.Net MVC.

I have my model with its fields or entities (might not be the right word hence why not able to find if previously answered, forgive me), and some of these will have null values such as hyperlinks, email address, specific types of phone numbers, etc.

What I want to do is not write certain blocks of HTML within the foreach loop if a field is empty.

In ASP Classic, I would have written an If statement along the lines of:

<% If RS.field <> NULL then %>HTML with <%=RS.field %><% End If %>
<% If RS.field2 <> NULL then %>HTML with <%=RS.field2 %><% End If %>
...

However, I don't know how to achieve the same result in ASP.Net MVC.In one of my current usages, a list of sellers returned for a specific set of search results, it runs through a foreach loop and returns the current HTML (in part):

Website: <a class="url" href="<%= seller.ContactWebsite %>" target="_blank" title="Visit the website for <%= seller.Name %>"><%= seller.ContactWebsite %></a><br />

So, if for example I have a field from the model, say seller.ContactWebsite, and this field was NULL, I would not want it to write this as part of the foreach loop.

C# - Convert String To Specific DateTime Format?

Jul 30, 2010

I've been googling for a while now and for the life of me can't seem to find a solution. I thought this would be easy but it's taking too long and am turning to stackoverflow.

I need to convert a string which contains a date and time to a DateTime variable. I've formatted the string in the exact format I want to store it in but when i convert it to a DateTime it keeps adding the seconds which I don't want. I want it stored as 01/01/2010 09:00AM. Here's the code I've been using so far:

DateTime.ParseExact(startTime,"MM/dd/yyyy hh:mmtt", null);

Resize Image C# / Specific Format (widescreen 16:9)?

Feb 24, 2011

I am searching for a way to resize and crop images to a specific size in a fixed ratio like 16:9. So I have any image and any size and it should be resized and cropped in a ratio 16:9.

Just cropping is not very nice. I want that the image is resized more and if necessary maybe cropped. Or better: I want to reuse as much as possible from the original image but resize and crop it centered so I could use it in a fixed html div with a ration of 16:9.
