I have sql server table which consis customername and address. I want to create a page where user will enter address and select radius in miles from a pulldown and click on search, so it will return the list of addresses near by entered adress and entered radius miles.

Using this approach i can show "Page.Title" in Show.aspx using any master page that has a "MainContent" placeholder, but my real goal is if i can when i choose the MasterPage for that particular Page to also see a list of available ContentPlaceHolders and when i choose one to then render "Page.Title" in that particular ContentPlaceHolder.
currently I am doing a web application such that after user search for all the contracts,the contract id is a hyperlink in which user can click on it to view the results tied to it. There is 2 pages. One is for the search page and after searching results is populated below. The contract id in the grid view is a hyperlink so that when user clicks on it, they will go to another page and view the specific records tied to it. How shld I do this as I am creating this web application in 3-tier formatting.

in my project admin will create user and insert users data into database user can just view it by his login id.only logedin iser related data will be displayed on his page.
here admin has to fill fields as below for each user and create uid and password for that user and wen user will log in only data related to him will be displayed.

I need to retrieve data from DB and show it in specific way:

I am attempting to convert an online game i have written in ASP into ASP.NET,, but I am failing at a very early and probably a very amateurish stage.
I am using a Sample ASPX project. There is an ASPNETDB database included, when i register my username is added to the DB along with a userID and various other fields. This is stored in a table called aspnet_Users.
The Login Control is stored in a Site.Master file

I have created a new table called tblClubs, which stores information such as ClubName, StadiumCapacity etc
I added a field called 'Owner' and this is directly related to the UserName field in the aspnet_Users table
What I am trying to solve is to show user specific information from the database, based on their LoginID.
i.e
My username is Laclerque and my club is called Racing Mongoose, the stadium capacity is 9500.. the information for each User needs to be different and just show the information that is relevant to them.
obviously in the longer term, there is going to be 100's of these associations required for the full game, but not until i can get my head around the basics of how to set this information. I tend to work better when i can see a working sample, and then adapt things to suit my needs.
i was wondering if it is possible to make a gridview show only specific fields according to other fields in the grid view....
such as showing a button for one row but not the other due to different field values
This is more of an SQL issue (I think) rather than .net, but I still think it's relevant area.
I have two dropdowns; first one called categoryID which has a series of numbers, the second called userID - again with a series of numbers.
If I select from the dropdowns: categoryID 4 and UserID 5 I end with the correct search result, however I need an option to show all records.
E.g. Select all from the category dropdown combined with UserID 5 that would display all records from UserID 5 (or vice versa).
Note - I am using MS Access and the numbers are classed as integers not text.

I mean that in one page Image element has ID="img" as well as DevExpress popup control (containig image) in another page. When I try to search concrete ID, I found many of them in code behind files (.cs) but I need only these which I can find in *.ascx files. Can I do such thing?

This holds data on Female and Male personal characteristics.On my aspx, I have a formview in edit mode which is binded to an object data source with a GetDataByUserId Select methodwhich retrieves data from the "Profiles" Table via a DAL.The "Profiles" table has some columns which relates to females only and some just males and some are generic to both.See example below

When the User logs in , they go to an update Page which has the Formview in Edit Item Mode and contains drop down Lists whichare binded to the Users Selected Value. The DDL are in turn bound to their related table such as HIP, Dress, Chest, Trouser etc.bjectiveIf a female user logs in I just want to show them the (Hip Size) DDL and DressSizeDDL in the Edit item template of the formview and not the ChestSize DDL or TrouserSize DDL.At present the GetProfileByUserId returns all colums from the tableMy question is how do I do this and just show DDL which are relevant to the Female or Male Only. In some cases the usermay not have selected an item in the previous form so they could also be NULL.Am i on the right path by writing a Select Query that checks to see if the User is Male or Female by checking the Genre column in Profiles first.Do I also need 2 panels, 1 to hide Female DDLS and the other to Hide MaleDDLs subject to logged in user genre.
