After I have uploaded the Image to the server and the image is saved there, I am trying to show this image in an ImageBox like in the code.But the image is not shown in the Imagebox. I had this problem for some time but now wonder why the Image isn´t showing in the ImageBox. I have also tried to use the Page_Load event to track the SessionVariable to show the Image but this does not work ?(The file gets uploaded and saved to the specified path anyway, that part works)

Mar 21, 2011Using the FileUpload Control, I know I can get the size of a file using: PostedFile.ContentLength. Using VB, is there a way to show Bytes being loaded in Real Time? In other words, if 1000 bytes has already been loading, a Label will show 1000, when 4263 bytes has been loaded a Label shows 4263, etc.

I have a webpage which I would like the ability to upload files to be stored in a database. Here's the layout of the page:

The update panel is configured as such:
ChildrenAsTriggers="True" EnableViewState="True" RenderMode="Block" UpdateMode="Always" Visible="True" Runat="Server"
The reason I have the update panel outside the Tabcontainer is so that when switching between tabs, the screen doesn't flicker with refreshes, etc. But as a result, I can't get the FileUpload working properly. The FileUpload1.Filename is blank, so it errors out.
Is there anyway to get this working properly? I've tried the latest AsyncFileupload within the control toolkit, but this caused all kinds of problems with my pages so that's out of the question. I tried an iFrame too, but this also didnt work properly.
