I have got an issue after updation in UpdatePanel. The issue is the jquery events are not working/firing after the updation in UpdatePanel. At first time, the jquery events work, but not after the updation in UpdatePanel. If I remove the UpdatePanel, the problem is solved. But I have to use the UpdatePanel.

I have a custom control, that has takes some information from user and submit to the database. it is working fine in normal aspx pages. but when i display that custom user control in jQuery modal popup. The events does not fire or lets say the data is not submitted to the database.

Once the async postback completes the JQuery event fails to fire when the button is clicked subsequently. What do I need to do to correct this behavior and maintain the JQuery event attachment to the button's click event once it has been refreshed asynchronously?

I have a C# DotNet application and an SP of SQL Server 2005. I had made changes to the SP. I found that the connection string of database in the web.config also is correct and it is pointing to the same database in the same server but after changing the SP and checking form front end I am not able to get the updated SP results. After changing the SP do we need to build dll of middle tier again? What all changes I need to make. When I run the SP individually it is giving correct updated results. i had done IISRESET also after chnaging the SP.
View 1 RepliesI have an update panel on my page with some links that have onClick events that trigger a JQuery box to pop up. This works fine unless an AJAX postback has occurred. I saw some code on another post:

I have a slide in div to display some dynamic data after button submit in it. If you open the div after page load it displays with message "Click on button".

I have a div with "id=ShowDetails". In my javascript I have this:

The div is inside the update panel that gets posted back. When the page loads, if I click the div, I get the bingo but after the postback, I don't.
I want to load a popup when a user clicks a button. The buttons are images located inside a tabpanel. The first time the page is loaded the helpEvents DOES display the popup and the 'click' popup. Then I navigate to Tabpanel tab2, and the helpTickets button doesnt work (doesnt even display the 'click' popup) Then I navigate back to Tabpanel tpEventDetails, and the helpEvents button doesnt work anymore either(and also doesnt even display the 'click' popup anymore) So I think something gets lost in the updatepanel on callback...but what? and how to fix it?

Now i am having two dropdown one is asp dropdownlist and 2ND is MultiSelect-DropDownList-with-CheckBoxes. 2nd dropdown is populating on selected value of first.On page load it works fine. Now, on change of value in dropdown, selected index change 2nd dropdown (MultiSelect-DropDownList-with-CheckBoxes) fills but i see a list box instead of dropdown.
through the Sitepoint book "Build Your Own ASP.NET 3.5 Web Site". In chapters 10 and 11 the book covers the DataList and GridView.My project will load data correctly into the list and grid; however, the events are not firing, for example the SelectedIndexChanged event. As far as I can tell no list/grid events are being fired in the code-behind file (the page load event and data binding does occur).There are some similar posts in these forums and on the internet concerning this.
View 2 RepliesI have a nested GridView that is placed inside a ListView. The GridView renders perfectly fine with all the entities that are bound inside its datasource.
Each record in my gridview has two buttons - 'delete' and 'edit'. The issue that I am having is that the methods wired to each of these buttons never get fired.
I think the reason for this behaviour is because my ListView's data binding happens only on the first page load, and not on every subsequent postback. As a result, when a postback happens, the events of the nested gridview are never wired up again - hence my methods are not getting fired.

I tried modifying the above code and removing the "!IsPostBack" clause, and the events actually got fired when a button inside the GridView was clicked. However, I do not feel comfortable doing a databind on every postback and think there should be a better solution than that.
I am using c# and asp.net with master page for a web application. I am using javascript for some click events to be invoked.
Now I am facing some problems with the click events of the buttons on my page. They suddenly stop firing after click on 4 or 5 buttons.
I will go into the background of why i am wanting to do this if necessary but in short. I want to create a WebControl which has a button on it. I provide the most simple of examples to understand why it is not working.

I'm facing a weird issue...My button events are not firing :(I'm using the 3.5 .net framework and I've already tried to run aspnet_regiis -c, clear the browser temp files, use windows integrated authentication, but nothing works...this is the cenario:

We have recently put up a new server with IIS7, where we now have published a .NET4 site.
Locally everything works fine, but on this server the Default.aspx is not working. No events are firing at all for this page. Every other page works as should.
We've tried deleting the Default.aspx and adding a new blank one with just a button event but same thing still applies.
We've spent quite some time troubleshooting this without any results. Same problem exists both with and without using a masterpage.

I have a DataGrid which i am using on the page alogn with 4 tabs. Clicking on each tab different datasource is getting bing to the data grid. Now following is problem,

On a certain page, a number of these WebUserControls are created (using Me.LoadControl) and added to a PlaceHolder on the page.When the user clicks the button on either of these usercontrols, I want a method on the page to be called. I have been doing this by handling the Button Click event on the usercontrol, and then letting the usercontrol raise another event. I use AddHandler after creating the usercontrol to add an eventhandler method to this custom event. Sounds confusing? Here's a simple example.

The idea is this:Button is clicked on the TestControl: TestControl.ButtonClicked event is raised. On the TestPage, the bestControl_ButtonClicked method is called The Number property of the calling TestControl is assigned to a label so I can see it. However, it seems that the TestControl_ButtonClicked method is never called. Via debugging I can confirm that the Button Click event, on the TestControl usercontrol, is fired, so that the TestControl.btn_Click method is called. The TestControl.ButtonClicked event is raised.After creating a TestControl, the AddHandler statement is executed. After clicking a button on the page however, nothing happens.
