Code Some Colors In The Style Property Of Some Control?
Mar 10, 2010
VWD 2008 Express. Visual Basic.
I want to code some colors in the style property of some controls. For instance, I want to use some like DarkGoldenrod, which is shown as
ARGB=(255, 184, 134, 11)
How do I convert this to something that I can use in a style property (e.g., style="color: #CCCCCC)? I know how to convert the first three numbers (255, 184, 134) into a six digit hex value, but what do I do with the fourth number (11)?
I need to set a style property of an element to the value returned from a code-behind property. I have done this in the past, but it now seems everything I try fails. I get an error telling me that the literal is not formed correctly.These are some of the arrangements I have tried:
I am using colorpicker control which comes with ajax control toolkit. Can I have more colors or include custom colors in the color pallete of ColorPickerExtender control ?
I've noticed that on aspx page IntelliSense doesn't display the Style property of a web control, even thought the control does have a Style property. Does that mean we shouldn't declaratively set the Style property:
I have a control and list of variables and I want in the control property to be assigned to the variable value directly in the page not from the back code, something like this
My global variables
public string Banana = "banana_pie"; public string Apple = "apple_pie";
in my custom control instead of:
<uc:LoadPie id="pieBanana" type="banana_pie" />
To this
<uc:LoadPie id="pieBanana" type="<%=Banana %>" />
so is there a way or just assign the property in page back code.
I created a simple gridview user control with a custom property ProfileType which should load different records depending on the ProfileType value when attaching to a web page.
This is my web page:
[code]....
how I can expose user control custom property at its code-behind file.
I have a MasterPage.master and default.aspx content page From the contetn page I'd like to edit a style property of an Html tage that is in the MasterPage.
[Code]....
But error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
I have two values 1. Maximum Amount 2. Reached Amount
I have to show a box with two colors(Dark Green and Light Green) and based on the % of reached amount i have to increase the reached amount color. Also inside the box i have show the label with reached amount.
Let us take an example of Max Amount : $50 and Current Reached Amount : $25. So now my box should be filled with Dark Green color half the size of box and Light Green filled with half size of box and have to show the label as "Reached amount: $25" inside the box.
Then tomorrow if reached amount is $35 then Dark green color should be increased and light green should be reduced based on the % of increase. as like this based on increased and decreased calculation the colors have to filled.
I have to assign the individual color to Column bar chart i tried the below it is working
[Code]....
but i want loop through each chart series item and assign them a color from an array. Is it possible with MS Chart control iam using the Column Bar chart for displaying the data.
I want to bind an ObjectDataSource to a property in my asp page and I want to do it in the page's aspx code, not in code-behind. I've already done it in code-behind, as follows:
[Code]....
I'd prefer to get rid of the ugly code-behind and just do this in mark-up. Something like [Code]....
This gives me a run-time error: Cannot create an object of type 'System.Object' from its string representation 'SelectedBook' for the 'DataSource' property.Is there a way of doing this declaratively and not in code-behind? Further, what if what I want is to actually use a child property of the property in question? For example, if my Book object has a ReaderComments collection, can I databind to it decaratively in the aspx mark-up?
I'm using user controls as web parts in an asp.net application. I have skinned the webparts by adding .PartTitleStyle (etc) to my css. I'd now like to let the user select from a list in an editor part to choose the style for the web part.I'm able to change the title for the webpart, but can't seem to figure out how to change the css to use .PartTitleStyleCustom instead of the default, even trying to set the wp.BackColor seems to have no effect. Here is the code I have so far in the page load event of my user control:
i have a user web control wich has the website menu. this menu is viewed through out the entire web site.
i would like to mark the selected link, on the menu with in the web user control,in some way (red background or w/e) the thing is, i cannot manage this from client side since there is a page_load on every click on the menu (witch brings up a different page). the only thing i can think of is saving the click to the session and then retrieve what was clicked and change the style accordingly via c# in the code behind.
On the page is a div id'd as loginBar, and I have a corresponding visibility attribute. Also on the page is a simple modal popup and its controls.The issue is that whenever the login Div is set to hidden, the popup is also hidden. I cannot figure out why the two are linked. It is not the id name of the div, feel free to change it to whatever you like, and I don't believe I have any malformed tags.
This is annoying, because I have to apply this style to every single thumbnail image individually, when there could be any number of them on the screen at any given time. All of the thumbnails are inside a single <div> that groups them together, and I'd like to apply a single style to the <div> that will push the attributes I need down to all of the the <img> elements nested inside, regardless how many thumbnails there are.
my web application i use FindControl to retrieve a Control By Name (it returns an System.Web.UI object). The control can be of various type and I don't want to treat them differently: I'd like to set the Text property to a defined string. I hope there's a class that I may use to cast the control and set the Text property.
