I have in my code behind the following property

when I want to bind it to some textbox I do the following:

then I want value put in this textbox to be set in my Firstname property (because I want to process it e.g. save this value) in my presenter.

I have four fields on my insert form: Server, Farm, Silo and Reason. Farm and Silo populate based on the name of the server that is entered. If I take out the SelectedValue='<%# Bind("value") %> the form doesn't error out, but the fields don't post back to the DB.

i have a FormView, it renders fields from a SQLServer database but also much static text specific to the database value I get. I dont know if this can be done in the code behind and put all this in a function . I put it in my formview

I know I should add # in order to use Eval, but not sure about correct syntax.
I have a master/detail scheme for editing an asp:GridView using an asp:DetailsView. One of my fields is for a phone number of type int64 (always 10 digits). I would like this field to always be displayed as (###)###-####. My issue is the first digit in the phone number is always truncated for my edit item field which I used a MaskedEditExtender to achieve the formatting.
Here is my EditItemTemplate for the details view:

When my details view is displayed for editing, the text box displays(_23)456-7890 for the integer 1234567890. Also worth noting that if the property MaskType="Number" is removed, the textbox shows:
(234)567-890_. I would of course have the textbox show (123)-546-67890 after binding.
I am having issues with databinding a textbox within a tab within a gridview. The textbox displays the data information properly; however when I try to edit a row in my gridview anything I type within that textbox is not saved in the database. I'm trying to use a javascript Date and Time calendar in my Insert and Edit templates in a Detailsview that is bound to SQL Fields. The reason I am trying the javascript date time selector is that I need to have the date and time, the asp.net one is just the date part.

I'm trying to figure out how to bind an EF4.0 object to my textbox control. I have a call to my business object that returns an entity CFUser that has a FirstName parameter on it of type string. However, after I make the call and bind the object, the codebehind executes which fills the BindUser property with the correct value. However, nothing shows up in the textbox.

I have a textbox "SerialTextBox" that is bound to a parameter "Serial".
This is bound as follows:

I have another parameter called "CountryCode" which is the result of a SQL select.
What I need to do is define the value of a third parameter called "CountrySerial".
This parameter is a concatenation of CountryCode (eg 'UK') + Serial (eg 'sn123') resulting in 'UKsn123'.
I was hoping to do this in the above binding...

There are two parts to my question...
(1) how do I bind SerialTextBox to TWO items?
(2) how do I concatenate "CountryCode" to "CountrySerial" during the binding?
