Get The HTML Out Of A DataListRepeater Using Ajax (Jquery)?
Aug 4, 2010
I have a asp.net page with a repeaterdatalist control on it. I bind this grid during page load and show the first 20 thumbnails of a photo album.
There can be multiple pages for which I have a pager 1 2 3. When user clicks the second page(2), I go and get the second set of album thumbnails and show.
Currently this is a postback and when I show 2nd page whole page gets refreshed.
Now is it even possible to use Ajaxjquery to get the second page of htmls with all thumbnails on it and render? This way the page never has a post back and I can avoid page refresh?
which returns <div>here</div><script language=javascript>alert('');</script> The content gets loaded property, but no alert. How would I get a javascript routine to work from an ajax call along with posting the HTML code?
I'm returning some preformtatted data from the server as a string. this is passed to the ajax results. For some reason the html is just displayed as a string rather than links etc.
i have 4 comboxes (com1, com2, com3,com4) and 4 tables (tab1, tab2, tab3, tab4)com1 and tab 1 have master table relationships i.e when in com1 the name is entered tab 1 shows the result of that entry. the same is for the rest comboxes and tables.
Now what i am trying to do is when an user clickes on com1 and types the name of the employee tab2 tab 3 and tab 4 should be hidden. if com2 is clicked tab1 and tab3, ta4 shoud be hidden.etc
Currenty i am using this code which i do not like. Is there any easy and short way to do hide an show.
this is the code i am using
<script type="text/javascript"> $("#com1").on('click', function () { $("#div1").fadeIn();
I have a some data which is displayed in div body now i want to import that div content in excel format so how can i do this using javascript/jquery or even c#
with jquery and don't know much of it.I have a jQuery code in my asp page and it's not working with Mozzila, Chrome, and Safary it just work with IE. How can I make it work with those browsers? And How can I put this jquery code outside my html?
If I use jQuery AJAX to call a specific ASP.NET page method how to have that method return a value back to the AJAX method that called it?
Update
My situation is I have an existing web application with many existing methods. I would like to be able to use jQuery to execute some of these methods and then update the UI with the results. My mandate is to stay away from ASP.NET AJAX and stick with jQuery. Management is concerned about continued development and support with ASP.NET AJAX from Microsoft. I agree with them.
I have the following code where the function codeaddress geocodes the text feild value and returns geocoded value , geocoded value is stored in variable example ,how will i return the variable v2 to the function call and post to asmx webservice.
i have found out a way to find controls on content pages by using

I have a page that enables a person to post a message from a message box; when the person submits the message I use the httpRequest object to send that message data to a webservice where I store the message in my database, then the webservice method is sending back a table with a text field (html textarea right now) and some html buttons formatted in a table (all in a single string) back to the original page so that other users can comment on the post submitted by the original user (in this case the original poster would be commenting on his/her own original post; possibly more then once). When I send the Html back to the original page I can't seem to get those new HTML objects to connect with the Jquery formats/actions. I tried sending the Jquery back with the HTML as well with no luck. How do I get the new html objects to connect with the Jquery script?
I have a page with a table on it with some information. I also have an asp.net button that I use to send an e-mail with the table markup. Currently, I am regenerating the table and storing it in a string and sending that as the body of the E-mail. What I would like to do instead is use JQuery's html function to grab the table markup of the page and store that in the variable to be used the e-mail body.
