I am using a list view with page size 10 and added a numeric data pager for paging.everything is working fine but how i can hide the page number shown below when the data in list view is less than 10 and show it only data is greater than 10.

I'm using datapager in my listview control and I want my datapager to always set to default as numeric pager field equals to 1 every time. I change the items of the dropdownlist as its pagesize where dropdownlist is set to autopostback. For example if the currentpage is on page 3 but when I select any item from the dropdownlist I want to set the datapager back to its default as numeric pager field goes back to 1. How do I do this?

i have a dropdown enabled grid view i am using dropdown for page size with values 25, 50 and 100 but currently in database i have only 22 rows(which will increase in future) and page size of grid view is 25 so the pager row is not visible is there any thing to make it visible or it is the property of gridview to not show pager row when page items present is less than page size

How can I lock down form elements within an ASP.Net MVC View, without adding if...then logic all over the place? Ideally the BaseController, either from OnAuthorization, or OnResultExecultion, would check the rendering form elements and hide/not render them based on role and scope. Another approach I have considered is writing some sort of custom attributes, so as to stay consistent with how how we lock down ActionResults with [Authorize]. Is this even possible without passing a list of hidden objects to the view and putting if's all over? Other background info: We will have a database that will tell us at execution time (based on user role/scope) what elements will be hidden. We are using MVC3 with Razor Viewengine. We're utilizing a BaseController where any of the Controller methods can be overridden.

Now I want to attach to the click-event of every single li-element, so that if the user clicks on a div-element, detailed product-informationen should be loaded asynchronously into a details-pane. I know how I can use jQuery to invoke an action-method ajax-style and also how to display the json-result which contains the product-details, BUT I have no idea, how I could attach the onclick-event to every single div, so that I can use the productId to load the details.
When I am creating Strongly Typed View I get lots of Classes in View Data Drop down. Classes like Automapper, ninject, Interface..., latebound... Due this its very hard to find my project classes. Is there any way to restrict dropdown to only display my project classes?

I am trying to create an MVC List View that can be filtered by the value selected from a drop down list.
Selecting a value should repost the page ... Since there is no concept of view state data I am having some issues with this ... I can get the repost to take place but my drop down resets and I am not able to get the value that was selected.

I have tried many of the posts that refer to setting up drop down lists but can't set them up in the content because this is a List View.
I'm working with CascadingDropDown Lists, like CAR > MODEL > ACESSORIES.
Everything have worked fine, but there are some CAR MODELS that don't have ACESSORIES, so I want to HIDE the DROPDOWN "ACESSORIES" if a MODEL that doesn't have ACESSORIES be selected. If the user select a MODEL that has ACESSORIES, so the DROPDOWN ACESSORIES appears.
I think that I might use something like "DIV STYLE:HIDDEN"...
I have an (unordered)list (generated by a repeater) of items. However, I'd like to show the first three items, and have the rest hidden by the main content div. When a button is pressed, I would like the list's div to expand, pushing the main content div down and showing the rest of the list. I was thinking of using slideDown(), but that closes the entire div ( and I would like to show the first 3 items of the list). What would be the best way to achieve an effect like this? I've just encountered an interesting problem in a standard BoundField in a GridView. The field is for EmployeeCode, which is purely numeric, but stored in a character column in the database. The DataFormatString="{0:00000}" attribute on the BoundField doesn't work, as I assume that format is only for numeric values.
To work around this, I had to use a TemplateField, and bind the text value using the attribute Text='<%# PadNumericString(Eval("EmployeeCode").ToString(), 5) %>'. Is there no simpler way of doing this?
how to hide the name of the requested column when i show the data in an ASP.Net web application. problem is: i request some data from a sql table and show it on an asp.net webpage. now it shows the data but adds the column name in front (both in Listview and DataList). Like this: Columname: Data. How do i avoid the columnname been shown?
