am trying to create view form in my MVC2 applicationIn this i have a submit button which is an imagebut when i try to run it shows a normal windows button the image is not shown(the image is a round edged).the code is as below:

Seems like there are a lot of ways to solve this problem.

Anyway, I have a <input type="submit"> element for my form, and I want it to return the same URL as the URL of the page the element is on.
Currently, if I click the button, it takes me from /Calculate/Quadratic to /Calculate/QuadraticForm
In my controller for this view, I have the following code:

Therefore, all I really want is to have the submit button return the same page, but the HTTP post will aid the application in passing new ViewData. Unless I'm interpreting this all wrong.
Alright so I want to create a form, where the text in the textboxs will be sent to my database, after the user hits sumbit. The problem I am facing is i am used to using a detailsview or formview to do this for me, but how can I do this myself, where I manuelly update my database.
View 1 Repliesone thing that has been puzzling me since learning MVC2 is the following case scenario: I have a view which contains two latest news lists, a login form and a signup form. Every example I found on Views and View Models so far has a one-to-one example such as a simple login form etc. But how do I create a model that provides the properties and validation for a login and signup form and manages the data for the news lists. can I pass multiple models in the strongly typed view? When I created one model the form validation would fail as it expects all fields - login and signup to be filled. I am missing some advanced examples or information.

I want to have two partial views, one for SEARCH and one for SEARCHRESULTS. I want to update SEARCHRESULTS when the "Search" Button is clicked on the SEARCH partial view form. SEARCHRESULTS needs to have the form data fed to it from the SEARCH partial view. I'm not totally sure how to go about this. Can I update the SEARCHRESULTS partial view from my SEARCH partial view's Controller action?

View 2 RepliesI am trying to write a simple library for MVC2 projects that takes care of user login, e-mail validation, password recovery, logging, etc. Since some of these steps involve user interaction, I need to have Views and Controllers in that project.In MVC2 Preview 2, one could do this by abusing areas (at least, it seems) since they were implemented as different projects. However, in the RC, creating a new area will merely create a subfolder. Since I want to share the base code between applications, that is not an option.I tried to brutally hack the AfterBuild steps into my project files, but that feels like the craziest hack ever.
View 10 RepliesWe have a mid-sized asp.net project that we just promoted from our dev server (Windows 2003) to an external test server (Windows 2008 R2). On the test server, IIS is not finding our home page, which is located in the views/home folder (404 error). As far as we can tell, the settings are the same on both servers. I've confirmed HTTP redirection is installed. Is there perhaps some critical configuration we may have missed on IIS7.5 to let it know where to find the view and/or home page?

I am using telerik grid in mvc2 application. I have to perform Watin UI test for my application. For that i need to select a row from the telerik grid. I was not able to select id for the telerik grid as the telerik grid doesn't have any id. can u please help me to select the particular row from the grid. I have 6 columns in the grid. I'm developing a MVC2 application and using Forms Authentication on it. The scripts, images and styles are all blocked to unlogged users and, consequently, the login page looks awful. It works well local, the problem is when I publish to the server. Does anyone has any idea WHY? The server IIS is version 7.5
