And its running well before.I have a problem when I migrate my application from old development server to new one, FYI, my old server is windows server 2003 32 bit with oracle 10g, and my new server is windows server 2008 64bit with the same oracle version. Forms Data Controls :: Gridview - Column Styling - Class To Define What Textbox Looks Like In Edit Mode

Jun 10, 2010

In the example below I have set the control style to 'controlName' I want to use this class to define what my textbox looks like in edit mode. This works ok, so far so good. The Problem In a button event I add the class "validationError" to this textbox if the data is incorrect. When the grid gets rendered I expect to get 'controlName validationError as the class applied to the textbox. Unfortunately, it seems that the declarative statement overrides this and simply ends up as 'controlName' how I can intercept the application of the declarative class so that I get what I desire here?

<asp:BoundField
DataField="Name"
HeaderStyle-CssClass="headerName"
ItemStyle-
CssClass="itemName"
ControlStyle-CssClass="controlName"
HeaderText="Name"
>
</asp:BoundField>

Crystal Reports :: Migrate Vs2005 To Vs2010 Having Error Of Incorrect Crystal Report References

Apr 2, 2011

We have migrate from VS2005 to VS2010. CR2010 installed too.

We have 1 website and class project in one solution.

The assembly of web.config has point to new version of CR ver13 and also checked that the references is ver13 too.

WEB CONFIG:

[code]....

However in code behind, when "Go To Definition" the imported CrystalDesicions Namespace, it go to CR version10 location.

The class project has references to correct ver13.

In the end we get error of :

Error 17 The project currently contains references to more than one version of CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine, a direct reference to version 10.2.3600.0 and an indirect reference (through 'Web_cl.clsAccountRpt.GetAccountStatementSummaryRptDoc')
to version 13.0.2000.0. Change the direct reference to use version 13.0.2000.0 (or higher) of CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine. D:ProjectWebGlobal 4.0Web_developCpAdminReportFormAccountReportModule.aspx.vb 40 28 D:...Web_develop

The function in class has return ReportObject back to the website, because of the website reference did not really point to new version has causes this error. I have checked all references in web.config and project properties all is point to new version, but in program it seems still point to old one.

SQL Server :: Invalid Column Name - Column Is Not Referenced Anywhere?

Aug 18, 2010

I have a SQL Server 2005 database which is queried by a web service which is called by an aspx page.

I inherited a messy and inefficient project, and I was working on cleaning up a GridView by making it dynamic and by having consistent field names in the database when I started getting an error of - Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Invalid column name: 'ASSIGNED_TO'

Assigned_to does not exist in the database, in the web service, or in the website solutions in any place. It was the name of one of the fields in one table, which I changed to USERID so that either of two datasets would fit into a Gridview (all other fields were the same). I then replaced all references of ASSIGNED_TO with USERID, which is when the issues began. The first of the two queries below causes the exception to be thrown, but the second one does not. I have tested both with the WCF Client and with a query within SQL Server to verify that they do work, so the issue has to be on the website side.

sSQL = "select distinct B.BADGE_NBR, a.REGId,B.CYC_RTE, b.USERID, a.MTRREAD,A.NEWMTRNUM, a.COMPTIME, B.FA_TYPE, CASE WHEN A.MTRCOMMENTS <> 'Null' THEN '*' END as Comment,a.MTRLAT,a.MTRLONG,a.WOFAID, b.ADDRESS, a.MTRREADFLAG, b.ROUT_SEQ from MobileDataReturn a,WORKORDERDIPATCHFILL b Where a.RegId = b.REGID and a.WOFAID = b.FA_ID and B.CYC_RTE " & route & "' and b.USERID " & worker & "' and B.BADGE_NBR " & badge & "' and a.MTRREADFLAG " & readflag & "' and b.FA_TYPE " & fatype & "' Order by a.COMPTIME desc"

SQL Server :: Receiving An Error - A Network-related Or Instance-specific Error Occurred While Establishing A Connection To SQL Server

Sep 23, 2010

I've created a small website with a simple sqlite database using vwd 2010 .net 4. In dev and test envionments everything works fine, however when i promote to my hosting provider i receive the following error:

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.

(provider: SQL Network Interfaces, error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)

I've been configuring the connection strings (autogenerated from entity framework and attached db) but unable to get it working on the hosting provider, I'm assuming it's related to permissions but not entirely sure how to resolve - here's the web.config as it stands:

<add
name="ApplicationServices"
connectionString="data [code].....

For info the environments are set up as follows:

- Dev environment is vwd express 2010 with sqlite mdf attached

- Test environment is windows 7 server, iis 7 with appdomain identity set to network service

How To Migrate Website From 1.1/2.0 To 3.5

Jan 19, 2010

I have inherited an ASP.net website that was originally started back in 2007. I believe that a lot of the codebase was written in version 1.1, patched to 2.0 where necessary. The client is still not happy with some features and has requested changes to be made. In "peeling back the onion skin" I found that the codebase is rather outdated. I have asked and received approval to upgrade the entire application (website plus VB library) to ASP.net 3.5. Besides following the standard help instructions in VS 2008 and the advise of other posters on this site, can anyone direct me to specific resources to utilize in reviewing the 1.1/2.0 codebase and selecting the best 3.5 constructs that are most compatible? Do you favor the approach of converting the codebase in VS 2008, or do you start with a clean slate and copy/paste code where necessary? The original codebase uses Anthem and Free Textbox libraries. Do you favor upgrading these libraries to 3.5 where available, or are there other (free) libraries that will do a better job?
