View 2 RepliesI have the following stored procedure
[Code]....
MOVE_MOD is defined as a float.
Yet within Dataclasses.designer.cs the function gets added as:
[Code]....
Naturally this is causing some issues as my C# code needs to handle decimal values. If I try to manually change the designer code to use floats, I get the following error
'System.Single' is not a valid return type for a mapped stored procedure method.
I want to return integer result from storeprocedure.I have used dataset to return values.My store procedure which i have wrotewhich return three result 0,1,2I want to get this result..how to get that result.
View 1 RepliesHow to get asp.net return drop down list to return value as int
I want to pass the value to a stored procedure as an integer. But the default appears to be as a string which is not what the store procedure is expecting.
Is there a good way to return the list values as ints?
I suspect I can you set the value on the change selection event, is there another way?
I'm trying to validate an integer range with a CustomValidator. The range is set dynamically, so when either the min/max values on my usercontrol change, the client validation function is updated. However, I can't get the validation function to fire. I have this code:
<asp:CustomValidator ID="vldAnswerValid" runat="server" ControlToValidate="txtAnswer" Display="Dynamic" SetFocusOnError="true" ValidationGroup="answer" OnServerValidate="vldAnswerValid_ServerValidate" Enabled='<%# !IsReadOnly %>' />
Setting the function from the codebehind with: vldAnswerValid.ClientValidationFunction = " function(oSrc, args){ alert(1); args.IsValid = false; } ";
But there's no message displayed and no alert. Am I missing something?
I want to split a string that taking both string and integer values like (Cmp_12). I want to use them in Separately.
View 4 RepliesI am using a strongly-typed view to display a list of products, where every li-element gets a unique id:
<ul id="product-list">
<% foreach (var item in Model.Products)
{ %>
<li <%= "id="product_" + item.Id + """ %> >
<div class="item">
<%= item.Name %>
</div>
</li>
<% } %>
</ul>
Now I want to attach to the click-event of every single li-element, so that if the user clicks on a div-element, detailed product-informationen should be loaded asynchronously into a details-pane. I know how I can use jQuery to invoke an action-method ajax-style and also how to display the json-result which contains the product-details, BUT I have no idea, how I could attach the onclick-event to every single div, so that I can use the productId to load the details.
In the web servce I say
public List<Customer> GetCustomers()
{
PR1Entities dc = new PR1Entities();
var q = (from x in dc.Customers
select x).ToList();
return q;
}
(customer is a entity object)
Then I generate the proxy when I add the service.. and in the reference.cd it say
public wcf1.ServiceReference1.Customer[] GetCustomers() {
return base.Channel.GetCustomers();
}
WHY IS IT AN ARRAY? I asked for a List.
ASP.NET 3.5 C# I am joining two tables using Linq. Table names are MapAssets and ExitPoint. In Database they are related with 'has a relationship'
I am writing a function in my BLL to return the joined table
public List<ExitPoints> GetExitPointDetailsByProjectID(int iProjectID)
{
ctx = new CoreDBDataContext();
var exitPointDetails = from ma in ctx.MapAssets
join ep in ctx.ExitPoints
on ma.MapAssetID equals ep.MapAssetID
where ma.ProjectID == iProjectID
select new
{
//would like to have data from both tables here
ctx.MapAssets,
ctx.ExitPoints
};
return exitPointDetails.ToList();
}
This obviuosly doesn't work. And I dont know what to return at all. All constraint I have for the return is to be able to be bound to a gridview. is this the correct way? Or else whats the correct way?
how would i go about returning a generic list in json format, can anyone point me to any good examples.
View 2 Repliesvalidation(ie if there is no matching value in TableB),i want to show a confirm dialog box asking the user if they want to add a new entry in TableB. I have a Google spreadsheet that I am reading data from and I want to load the data into a list object so I can use but I am having some issues.
Google Spreadsheet
-Worksheet name: Charts
-Tab: Color_Summarized
-Column 1: ColorSummary
-Column 2: ChildID
-Column 3: ParentID
sample rows:
Aqua|29|28
Blue|49|23
Yellow|55|28
My results are
Yellow Color_Summarized FH 55 28
How do I need to set it up so it keeps all the data loaded instead of just the last instance? Is there a better way then putting in class?

View 2 RepliesI have a parent page that launches a telerik radwindow and passes it an argument.
Once the radwindow is done processeing the value, I need it to return it to the parent page, and I would like the parent page to have access to this value in my code behind page.
I have tried to pass the value to a hidden field on my page and then trigger a page refresh and my code behind watches to see if the value is working.
I can't seem to get this to work. I get the return value in the parent javascript, but i can't get it from my hidden field from the code behind.

What I want to do is if the OK button is clicked, save the data and then open the grid. If the Cancel button is clicked, open the grid. The problem is when I clicked the Cancel button, it didn't do anything in the OpenGridButton_Click event.
I know i've seen a tutorial for this, but can't locate it anymore. I have a class Employee in c# side, I also have a webservice where I pass in an ID# and an Employee object is returned. Now I want this object returned to Javascript code, I know I've seen it done before, can someone point me to a tutorial that shows something like this being done. I'm using the MicrosoftAjax.js file.
View 3 RepliesI have a gridview with paging. So for instance, I'm on say the page number 10, and I open the form details on a specific record_id (link). After I update/submit the form, it returns to page number 10. But, if I go to another page, for instance page 5, and submit the form, it returns to page 10.
I've tried some things, for instance history.back(), but it returns to the first page I went to, in this case page number 10 (or whatever the first page I go to).

I'm calling a web service called GetTooltip from inside Javascript. However, since the web service is called asynchronously, it doesn't wait until I get the return value from the web service, before it continues again. This is a bit of a problem for me, since the web service is in a for-loop. How do I make the Javascript wait until I hear back from the web service, before letting Javascript continue the for-loop?
