i'm developing a system with asp.net, there i generate a powerpoint presentaion in the server machine, i need to generate it there and save it in the clients machine, how can i achieve this? how to access the clients machine and save the generated file there?

Without using fileupload control, what is the way to store a file from client machine to web server.
FYI, a text box has the path the client machine file.

Clarification:
I am having the server machine,the client will send his credentials of the oracle database in the form and on submitting,tables of his machine have to be copied in my machine.

my page directive set to ValidateRequest = false and EnableEvenValidate = false and AutoEventWireUp = false, no UpdatePanel used around Editor and update button. on code behind which is button click event.

This button click generate an error on server side. I guess the problem Editor.Content have hidden tags, the server refuse to accept, but what is real problem.
A friend of mine gave me this task so I can learn advance programming a little bit easier. I am currently doing convertion of an html page to pdf using itext sharp and email the pdf as an attachement. My idea is to save the pdf first to the server machine in the folder name ToBeEmailedPDF folder before using it as an email attachment. I have had a real nightmare with Server.MapPath(). When I call Server.MapPath("~") in my application that is running in ASP.NET Development Server it returns root directory that ends in a back slash like f:projectsapp1, but I call it in published version, installed in IIS, it returns root directory without any back slash like c:inetpubwwwrootapp1.

How to allow the users to transfer files to web servers from their local machine?
I am attempting to write an asp.net application that copies any file from the user's local machine to another server on the same network.
The Catch
The server that will house the application is separate from the server that will receive the files from the local user's machine. In other words, to do the file copy the user will have to access the application on one server via IIS and within the application it must place that file on another server. Further, these servers while on the same network cannot physically see each other.
In addition, the users of the application are connected Anonymously (Anonymous Authentication)

This seems to work fine except when the downloaded file is viewed in Excell the html code behind the page from which it came is also appended to the file. Does anyone have any idea why it does this?
What kind of path would I use to save a file (.pdf) on another server/network drive?
Say I have rights to a network drive 'optamail1' and a folder there called datasheets. I can access this folder from "Run" using \optamail1datasheets, however, this kind of path will not work in my application. Has anyone tried doing this before?
What is the best way to insert and retrieve images like :
In the database in binary form retrieve it with imagehandler, or
In the database by saving the path of the folder of the images and retrieve it, or
by saving the images directly to the folder and retrieve it...
this is my problem:
I have a link to Open a file (I have found this way cause with a simple link it would have been marked "readonly")

The code in the .aspx page permit to download the file with the header

So when the user click the link he is prompted wiht a Message box saying:
Open Save
The user click Open...modify the excel cells... but when he wants Save the file (from Excel menu) is saved on a temporary folder on the client pc and not on the server.
Is it possible to save the file directly on the server or not?
Ps. The "real" problem might be that when the user click "Open" in the prompt tha file is first downloaded in the temp folder and then presented to the user
