I am trying to delete or add rows in a table but since the table is in an update panel,upon deletion the row goes away and then comes back.I have tried using return false but it does not seem to work in IE or FF.

In my webform, i have 3-4 textbox, on there textchange event i have to fetch data from database and put it on the form. I have taken another html table (with runat="server") below textbox and and in textchange event created a new <tr>, <td> and simply added contents in <td>, then finally added <tr> in the table. This is done in UpdatePanel.
When i enter something in textbox1 data is added in that table,that's fine. But when i enter something in 2nd textbox the previous data is overridden. My requirement is that if 2nd textbox's text changes than another row with appropiate data should be added, i.e., now two rows. Silimarly if 3rd ,4th textbox data changes then subsequently 3 or 4 rows should be displayed.
I have one table named 'dbo.ac_Products' Within this table there is a column named 'ProductId' There is also another table named 'dbo.ac_CatalogNodes' Within this table there is a column named 'CatalogNodeId' and a column named 'CatalogNodeType'

View 6 RepliesI'm having a gridview in my aspx page with checkbox, User can select one or more than one record(s) at a time and clicks on delete button, Then i'm constructing an object of my DTO and adding all the checked row's Primary Key (DataKeyNames - GUID's in case) to a serializable class and generating an XML and sending it as parameter to the Stored Procedure.
My Doubt is, can i bulk delete all the rows from database table those are present in my XML document??
If it works, I can do bulk update with XML only, i already did bulk insertion by generating an XML..
My Another Question is, Will it affect the performance? Each time when i construct an DTO object and adding it to the Generic List??
WHich one is better, I mean ObjectDataSource or SQLDataSource or my XML method?

I connected this gridview with sqldatasource

The gridview it can select from 2 table, (RecipientId, RecipientName, Company, BuildingInfo, StreetInfo, City, Province) but cannot update 2 table.

I am currently working on a signup sheet for new students. For each new student, we want add their schedule; therefore, I have a drop down list that displays the teachers which update another drop down list that displays the selection of the class the teacher teaches. The problem is that a student may have one or more classes, depending if they are in lower school or in upper school. The question is, how do add another row to the table and make sure it does not disappear when I select a teacher. Using jQuery, I successfully add the row with two new drop down list, but as soon as I select any of the teacher, the update panel refreshes and the new row disappears...

I'm trying to figure out how to update multiple rows in my Directory table, when a user changes their Street Number or Street Name in their profile. They can add multiple users to a directory and each user they add to the directory has this primary users UserId in it. So if the primary user changes their address, I want it to update the address for all the users they listed in the directory as well. I'm adding this to the On_Click in the Code Behind, so when they click to update their profile, it fires this function as well. This code may be way off, but here's what I have right now:

im tryin to do something without success. I have some SQL table with few columns (fileId(int), fileName, copies, color and finish), the page is build in a way, that the user upload few files (the files uploads to some folder, and the fileId and fileName are write to the above SQL table - so the other columns (copies, color, finish) are stay blank - which is OK!!!) after he finished uploading the files he can see the files names in GridView and in that grid view i put some textbox for copies, and 2 DDL for color and comments. What I want to do is add the selected amount of rows using AJAX right after the table row that has the DDL in it. I know how to dynamicly crate the rows, the info in the rows, and how to use AJAX to make things. Problem is I can not put the ContentTemplate tag inbetween the asp:TableRow which would mark the location I want the dynamic rows to start being added.
