To Put A Panel Horizontally Next To Another Control?
Dec 19, 2010
I created an ASCX Control that consists of a panel control and that's it. I am trying to make this panel into a custom button. Being that it is a panel I am subject to the fact that it renders as a div which creates a problem. I would like to position this panel-button in the parent aspx page like a regular button which can be placed anywhere like next to a regular button like below:
[asp_button1] [ascx_panel_button]
however the page won't let you do this because the ascx control has a panel in it so it snaps to its own horizontal space like below:
[asp_button1]
[ascx_panel_button]
is there anyway way to put a panel horizontally next to another control?
I have a website wrote in asp.net which is dynamic which gets its data from an access database. I want to put some sort of image control on my site and load it with images in code behind. I then want the control to scroll horizontally. I don't have a clue where to start.

The Ajax control toolkit tab panel automatically inserts a space by all four corners of the body. For example, go to http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/Samples/Tabs/Tabs.aspx and look at the TabPanel on the page. The is a space before "Signature:" and "Bio:" labels. How can I set the space-width to 0px; in the tabPanel body?

I had a little project is create dynamic control. My project had get detail of content and replace in sign string, Add control in sign. After click button I will find in control, I had added on page load in panel. I can't get value in child control panel, Don't have control in panel. My source is
I would like to display data horizontally - with wrapping.. Is there some asp.net control that can do this??! I know how to do this using a plain table.. Guess I'm just feeling lazy, or wanting an easier alternative..
I need to build a list of strings with a checkbox next to each one of them. I want to build it horizontally, but I don't want a horizontal scroll bar to appear. I was thinking of using either a Repeater or a DataList for the task, but how do I wrap the data to prevent a scroll bar to appear?

I have this menu in the masterpage that works alright in IE7 - that is, it lines up horizontally. I don't understand why this doesn't work in IE6 wc lines up vertically.
The menu control when used on the newly released VS2010 with ASP.Net version 4.0 renders vertically briefly, then renders horizontally. This causes a 1/2 second annoying flash of the menu in vertical form before it disappears and renders horizontally as intended. If you choose to render the menu as a table this problem doesn't happen, but if you choose to render the menu as a list (using <ul><li>) then if happens every time, but is hidden on development systems where response is quick enough such that the rendering vertically is not visible to the naked eye. How can I cause the rendering to be horizontal (without the brief vertical rendering)?
I have a page that is currently generating dynamically created textboxes in a table format. The users are requesting that the tab order be changed from horizontal-vertical to vertical-horizontal. I know that you can use the tabindex attribute to control the tab ordering, but I can't for the life of me figure out the right way to get the sequential number properly for the textboxes. I guess this is more of a math question than anything else!
FYI, the textboxes are made while looping two different collections. First collection looped to make the rows, for each row, second collection (which is a property of the first collection objects) is looped to create the columns.
My web form is pretty simple. It has to have three lines of text/ASP.NET elements. The Master page has a header and a footer. I need to center those three lines in the middle of the page vertically and horizontally, especially if the bottom changes. How do I do this with CSS?
