in my asp.net_vb code web. there are 9 textboxes whcih is used for entering numerical/dates
first is lve.text in whicj numder is entered
second one is lvefrom.text
thirdone is lveto.text
when user fills (lve.text) 5 and enter 15 Jan 2013 in lvefrom.text then lveto.text should show 19 Jan 2013. i had posted this earlier and got reply which is mentioned below. this code below gives me 20 Jan 2013 instead of 19 Jan 2013.
tw text boxes lve.text (number filled) and lve from.text (date filled). when user enter a numder in lve.text and select a date fro date picker in lvefrom.text then lveto.text should show date selected in lvefrom.text + number of days in lveto.text (eg if number of days is 5 and date selected in lvefrom.text is 15 Jan 2013 then lveto.text should display 19 jan 2013. because the starting day is also counted in my case.
Protected Sub lvefrom_TextChanged1(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles lvefrom.TextChanged Dim ObjLocDate As New Date Dim IntLocDays As Integer IntLocDays = Convert.ToInt32(lve.Text) ObjLocDate = lvefrom.Text ObjLocDate = ObjLocDate.AddDays(IntLocDays) lveto.Text = ObjLocDate.Date.ToString("dd-MMM-yyyy") End Sub
fourt tex box is pfx.text, fifth is pfx1.text, sixth is pfx2.text
when use filles pfx.text 3 then pfx1.text should display 12 Jan 2013 and pfx2.text should display 14 Jan 2013. these are the prefix for leave( as 12 to 14 Jan 2013 is prefix.seveth is sfx.text, eighth is sfx1.text and nineth is sfx2.text
when user fills sfx.text 3Â then sfx1.text should display 20 Jan 2013 and sfx2.text should display.
How to create Jobs, I am using SQL 2005, i need a query which should get current date and compare current date with date in table and Send Email according to Job scheduled.

Basically I want to take the following:And make it match the styling of the rest of the application.I am creating a custom error page in my C# based project and I want it to be able to show the same information that is displayed in the ASP.NET default error page. From fiddling with reflector I can see that this is generated through HttpException.GetHtmlErrorMessage() but when I try to use this in my exception it returns null.
Web service error response (code/message etc) would you store it in a database? or would you keep the error response in a method.By the time I'm done with this, there will be hundreds of error response, maybe in the future, thousands? (I dont know yet, depends how large this web service grows).EDIT: error response is the response returned back to the application via the web service, (not to be confused with error logging).
I wanted to post my problem and solution since I've gotten some good information on this board. When deploying my Visual Studio 2008 C# .NET 2.0 web application Production, I encountered some problems, which is not unusual. What was unusual is that my Crystal Reports .NET reports that use the Report Viewer control would not work; they errored out with:
note: Crystal Report works fine in dev environment....
Logon failed. Details: ADO Error Code: 0x Source: ADODB.Connection Description: Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed. Unable to connect: incorrect log on parameters. We are using Oracle 11g 64 bit as database. We establish crystal report database connection by two ways,
1. Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle
2. Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC
but we got the same error in report module when we using two methods.
Now i want to do that user cannot select end date less than start date , e.g if he choose 2-July-2014 ( as a start date) then he could not choose (1-July-2014) as End date , dates prior to Start Date must get disabled in End Date Calendar Extender.
am developing an application using asp.net+ajax.i used calender extender control to select date and showing that date in a text box.my requirement is when select date from the previous year (i.e 2009) from the calender extender control...then a message should show like"you should not select the previous year date" and immediately current day date should fill in textbox.
Here what i am trying to accomplish. I want to have a div or panel on the page and have some text on it. The div or panel must hava a specfied time limit and then disaaper from the page. Say i want this text to apper on 10Cotober 10.00 Â and disapper from the page on 11October 18.00.Â
I'm using ASP.Net with VB (Visual Web Developer 2010) and SQL(Management Studio Express 2008) to create a website that keeps track of employee subscriptions.A date is entered into my database whenever an employee makes a subscription.I need to find a way to send an automatic email to each employee when the current date exceeds the subscription date by one year.
I am unable to use an SQL job as I only have SQL MS express. From other posts I have read it seems the best way to do this is to create a webservice to send emails but I am unsure of how to get the email address for each employee from the database to the web service?Do you guys think a web service is the best way to do this?
how to make my source code to display on one line instead of multiple in source view. The display drives me batty when I'm trying to find something and I would prefer to display across the page instead of multiple lines down the page.
I've found myself having a requirement to configure log4net based on a file relative to the physical location of the running ASP.NET web application. We like to start the logger as early as possible, so Application_Start seems a proper place. In IIS6, this works fine and has been running for ages, but now we moved to IIS7 and this won't work anymore:
because the HttpContext.Current is not available in many global.asax (Application, Session) events. This is old news, we all know it raises the now infamous Request is not available in this context error. We don't want to move back to Classic Mode.
Now, the question is simple: without using HttpContext, is it possible to find the physical location of the currently running web application instance?
I have three button on my web page, after clicking each button a popup is opened. Now i want open this popups just below the button and also stop the scrolling of popup with parent page.
i give one example: i just want to create a functionality just like [Edit Tags] below in this forums that is when i clicked on [Edit Tags]one popup is appear at desired location how could i opened my modelpopup just like [Edit Tags] click.
I don't see a property that would help define the location where matched items should be displayed. I have a strange behavior where if there are multiple matches, AutoComplete extender displays the list of matches nice right below my TextBox. However, if there's only one match, it's displayed some 30 or so pixels above the TextBox. Strangely, I find myself hitting the up arrow key because the suggestion is displayed above but looks like the expected behavior is down arrow.
