it is in Persian Language(IRAN).the problem is the menu(blue color) is not showing the contents in some browsers on some computers.?
I am exporting an ASP.NET datagrid to excel and having an issue with the colors exporting with it. I know in order for the cells color to be exported to excel you must set the background color of the cell. I have several lines of text in the cell, parts of the text are wrapped in a div and the div background color is set. This is the color I need exported. Is there a way to do this? I have included an example below of what would be found in a cell.

I am using the below shown stylesheet for the gridview.But for some reason, the hyperlinkField column in the gridview is not in blue color and there is no underline.How can I display the hyperlinks as regular hyperlinks as blue in color and underline?

I am currently developing a website for a friend of mine who is a dj. I have a login page, which works fine however i want to inplement a menu that only users with the Administrator role can view. I have done alot of research and i have found ways to stop a user from visiting a page, when they click on it it takes the to the login page. But i want to completely hide the menu from Non Admins.
View 4 RepliesI am new to asp.net and I come from the desktop world. I am struggling with some problems in regards to my horizontal asp.net menu. My menu gets moved down in some browsers and I can not figure it out. How you web guys deal with this stuff all the time is beyond me... i want to shoot myself.
In ie7 and FF it was fine. In Chrome and ie the menu is moved down. Also the drop down section of the menu is being displayed with a blue colored font and not white.
I will paste my html and my css for reference. I probably have done everything wrong and my code is probably a joke.

asp:DropDownList {color:blue;} doesn't work. I assume it is because the : is a reserved character in CSS?

This works fine in IE8 and Firefox, but when I try viewing it from my Nokia browser, while the menu is visible, its behavior is incorrect: I tap on the menu to open it, and instead of opening the next level of menus, the control disappears altogether!Interestingly, I got the same behavior using Chrome on my computer.I haven't yet tried on Safari, but the message is already pretty clear: the ASP.NET menu control doesn't work on the Nokia browser, and that is a showstopper. What alternatives do I have? It needs to work on Nokia, Safari and Opera, at least.I saw in a similar question that someone suggested writing a custom server control. Nice idea, I'm sure... but how do you explain that to this ASP.NET newbie?

I am playing around with MVC 2.0 and have changed a few colors in the Site.css to suit my preferences but can't seem to get normal tab behavior for the menu to work. Most web pages that have tabs have a different color for the current tab, i.e. the current "Forums" tab on this web site is a different color from all the rest. I need to do some styling to a bunch of webforms, containing articles formatted in a rather uniform way. I can change any source code I want.
What I need is a quick way to dynamically create a navigation menu (on the server side) for an ASP.NET webform, based on contents of a specified div.
For example, given the following HTML:

I would like to insert something like this at the end (and render it at the server side, not in a script):

NOTE: I know I could iterate through parent div's child controls in codebehind (although I would need to make them all "run at server", or even parse the InnerHtml property of the parent div), but if feels pretty weird.
Also, I am aware that if the article was being created from a data source, I would have the content already organized, but I would like to make as little changes needed in the existing pages.

I just noticed that the example below works when the page first loads but on postback the text color disappears even though that is where the code is. Is there something I am missing?

I am working on a web page that handles alerts from National Weather Service. What I am wanting to do is when i drop a text file for watches and warnings, is to have the watches font color change from black to red and have the submenu also change.

I want both of these to turn red if the file middletnwatches.txt exist. I know how to do the
