I have googled a sample code relevant to my case but it get data into code from hard coded list. How can I modify the code so it get the values from sqldatabase1 control instead of from the hard coded list?

The sqldatasource1 returns only one field of data called holiday which is a date field.

I have a table Person (in my database) which has fields like PersonID, PersonName, PersonSurname, etc. What I'd like to do is to bind the PersonName + PersonSurname (e.g. Mark Black) as values for displaying the data in drop down list and PersonID as the data identifier.

I have been banging my head against this problem for a bit and I think I am stuck. I would like to pull data from a Database to populate a list of possible "clients" to select from on one side. Then using what has been clicked load the client specific data into a tab container on the opposite side. I plan on doing lazy tab loading so I am not sure if that matters. I am really stuck and any help or guidance anyone could give would be greatly appreciated! I understand the basics of data loading and of tab containers, but i am unsure of what to do. I am coding this in C#. The admin of my site can make some articles with images with the html editor and saves the html into the database.
now i want to show the list of articles with the date added, sender, and a short part of the article(depending on the saved html, this can be text with maybe a image). ofter clicking a article, the user can see the entire article.

The list view displays all of the data with the oldest, or first, line of the database first. I want to reverse that by displaying the last line, or newest entry first. My problem is this "I have all the tools, VS 2005, 2008, 2010. I have every book, I have SQL server 2005 and 2008" I have all the tools, but I do not know what tool or technology to use when starting out learning all this. I juat do not know what book teaches what I need to do for something like below.
Here is my question:
I created an .ASPX webform that is to "Submit" to a SQL 2005 database. I gave this form to my DBA, and he has made up a Data Model. Now I have to figure out how to write the ASP.NET code so it will submit to the DB. My first issue is not knowing this:
1. "How do I loop through my CheckBox List", and then insert the values checked into a "Database Table" (Each Checkbox value MUST be a seperate row in the table, the DBA does not want a seperate column for each checkbox value)
2. The database is using stored procedures
3. My third issue is this: "I do not know "where" to put the "code". If you do resond to this,
Summary: I just need shown the code on how to "loop through" the CheckBox List on my form, and insert those values into a database table as seperate rows.
