Mar 18, 2011Not sure how to best accomplish this task. I do have several reports to make in Excel every day. The reports do have a shhet for every week and one column for each day in week. What is the best way to get the excel auto update and get data from the SQL table? As for now I run a query on a webpage and coying the data in to the excel sheet manually. Should I try making a database connection within the excel sheet? Should I try having a ADO connection working in .NET? I really donīt know where to begin.

Everything works but the [ZIP+4] field which does not update. I believe that VS2008 added the square brackets around the field name because of the plus character that it contains. If I change the ZIP+4 variable name to [ZIP+4] = @ZIP4 it still does not work. This brings up another question, I have never understood where these update queries are getting their data from.

Sep 7, 2010I've come to a roadblock in my app and I'm not sure which way I should go. Currently, I have a slider control and two text boxes used to set the Start and End times of a section of a video. Let's say the video is of some Music Awards. In my database, I've tagged the start and end time of each celebrities on-screen appearance. When the user adjusts their start and end times on the page, I want to query the database table and pull back all celebrities within that range. The problem is I don't know how to do this in JS.
Can I use the Check Box List and bind the values to it? Do I need to render a table of Check Boxes in JavaScript? Do I call the Server-Side code via Ajax and then partially render the page?

Nov 27, 2010I am looking for simple asp.net code example showing a simple webform task.
When user clicks a button, a stored procedure fires which runs an update-table query (not pulling any parameters from the user) and returns a count of the number of rows that were updated when the query was run.
Within my stored procedure I have the parameter @RowCount=@@ROWCOUNT.
All sample data I have found online has been C# or VB, but nothing that I can apply to my asp.net program.
Again, this is a simple task that for whatever reason I cannot find examples of online.
