AJAX :: Firefox Not Displaying Tab Control?
Mar 12, 2011I am using an Ajax tab control and it works, and displays fine in all browsers except Firefox 3.6. Does any have an idea what might be causing this?

Jan 21, 2010I am having trouble using the asp.net ajax control toolkit's tab control. I have 4 tabs and I am using the update panel.

I implemented it using asp.net ajax control toolkit tab control.
The issue I am facing now is, when using firefox the tabs does not become responsive. They are frozen.
Frozen means, I cannot click on the tabs to navigate from one tab to another tab.
The version is using is: 3.0.30512.0

Feb 2, 2010I have a webpage called DisplayBinaryData.aspx - the purpose of this page being to display/download any word, excel, pdf or images. I call this webpage and pass the id of my BinaryData entity using a querystring. The BinaryData entity contains the file, filename and contenttype uploaded using the asp.net fileUploadControl. The code in the page load is below:

This code executes perfect in IE,but fails when executed in FireFox. IE prompts the user, either to save or open the content. FireFox also prompts the user, but the dialog box fails to save or open any content. When executing this in google chrome - there is no dialog box, it starts downloading the content automatically.
Web Forms :: Firefox Not Displaying DropDown Menus?
Apr 1, 2010I have a masterpage that contains all my dropdown menu controls. The 2 largest browser hits on my site are IE and Firefox (in that order). I just recently updated to the latest version of Firefox and now... my dropdown menus no longer appear with Firefox but still do with IE.
There is nothing strange going on with my masterpage and it used to work fine in both IE and Firefox. Not too sure what is going on and can't seem to find anyone else who has posted on this subject.
AJAX :: Popupextender In Tab Control - Content Visible On Page Load In IE8 / Safari / Firefox
Feb 10, 2011I am embedding a popup extender inside a tab...simple enough - for some reason the content is visible when the page loads - it can be dismissed by selecting the button and then dismissing the popup. Everything works in compatability mode.
I can't tag the panel as visible=false as it is no longer rendered at all.

Aug 30, 2010If i use signs like ë in the HTML Editor, in IE, its ok, and works. But if i use ë in firefox in the same page with the HTML Editor. If i press safe the ë is converted to: � (copy past doesnt work well, but its a square if you put [] to each other). But how is this possible? And how can i solve this problem? In IE its working well, but 50% of the users of the system i build are using Firefox. So it should work in all editors.

Jan 25, 2010I've got an issue where I'm unable to view Ajax controls within the Visual Studio toolbox section What makes this issue even more bizzare is that I'm able to view the controls of the .dll (AjaxControlToolkit.dll) in a test website. I can see Visual Studio iterate through the controls and add them to the tab in one project and absolutely nothing in the other. I've already checked to see if another tab has my controls and done multiple Toolbox resets. Obviously, I need consistency with this and for me to be able to easily add controls to my target website...Does anyone know why one VS2008 project displays controls correctly in one place but not in another project?

May 18, 2010I have a web form with a modalpopupextender and a listView control that opens for editing and adding records. One of the columns on the listview is a linkbutton that makes a serve side call to show the modaldialpopupextender. At first, when clicking on the linkbutton in the listview the modalpopup displays over the listview, the page fades (via a CSS class) and it works great. When I open and close the listview for editing or change pages on the listview, and then try to show the modalpopup via the linkbutton, the modalpopup displays under the listview and the fading does not work properly. I am not too sure if this is a postback/javascript issue or maybe CSS?

C# - AJAX Partial Page Update When Displaying A Control?
Mar 8, 2010I have an interesting problem when using partial page update in asp.net with scriptmanager and a update panel.
My scenario looks like this: I'm using the tab control from the ajax toolkit. I also implemented this control using lazy loading, so that when the page is loaded only the current tab gets loaded all the other tabs don't get rendered, because Im using an UpdatePanel (on a .ascx control) on each of these tabs and when a tab gets selected the updatepanel makes a async postback to load the content for a selected tab.
On one of my tabs Im using a combobox control from obout.com, and it doesn't work. Now I know why it doesn't work. It doesn't work because the control is shown via a partial page refresh, but to correctly display the control it has to do some "magic" that is - register some .css and .js includes on the page (in the head I guess)....but because I load this control via async page refresh.
AJAX :: AutoCompleteExtender Control Not Displaying Under The Target Textbox
Jun 28, 2010I'm using the AutoCompleteExtender control with a textbox. The control functions the way I want it to but I have one issue with it. When the page first loads I type something in the textbox and I get a list of suggestions from my database. When the list is quite big the vertical scroll bar appears on the right side of the browser window and the textbox is repositioned to the center of the page (I want the textbox to be centrally positioned and I'm using <center> tags). Unfortunately the AutoCompleteExtender list doesn't reposition and is misaligned. The same thing happens when the browser window is resized.
I've played around with CSS and OnClientShown and haven't managed to fix this. I'm currently using IE8.

Jan 23, 2011Situation: I have a drop down list which I need to pass on to a webservice on button click. I am using Sys.Net.WebServiceProxy.Invoke to make webservice call.
Everything is happening inside a usercontrol which loads on runtime using dynamicpopulate extender.
I get following error:
Sys.InvalidOperationException: Cannot serialize object with cyclic reference within child properties.
Situation: Usercontrol also has a listview which is bound to dataset. However on calling listview.DataBind() in side the webservice method.
I get following error:
The ListView control 'ProductsListView' does not have a naming container. Ensure that the control is added to the page before calling DataBind.
There is no problem when call to service method is parameter less and listitem is not bound.

AJAX :: Firefox Doesn't Works
Apr 16, 2010I understand that probably this is not good forum for asking this question, but I'm a bit dissapointed, and I don't know where I can found answer to my question. Here is my problem. I've got a page that has dynamically loaded content with innerHTML like below:

Everything works fine .. since I wanted to have gif shown when page content is loading. But now I would like to after loading innerHTML content to execute javascript function to create pieChart of something. The problem is that I have to use document.getElementById()function, but it does not works with content loaded dynamically. I mean, Lets say that inside page loaded by innerHTML we've got a form which id="A" when instead pieChart() in above code i will use document.getElementById('A') it does not return my form. I've checked this in IE7 with no effect, ffox also does not seems to work. The only one browser that works at the moment is Chrome.
