I'm figthing against a problem with FORMVIEW and MASKEDIT.When I use mask edit with a TextBox within EditItemTemplate/FormView, the current data (located in SQL database) doesn't appear!If I delete my MaskEdit tags, the current data appears.See the code below:

I am having one TextBox aassociated with mask edit extender control. While editing the textbox values, value getting replaced instead of added.
Ex: Supose in my textbox if i have value as 1234, then i want to make it as 12534 so i entered 5 after 2. But am not getting result as expected, its showing as 1254 (means 3 is getting replaced with 5).
i have the following scenario: one formview. when in editmode there is a child formview linked to the other by a column value. i need to take the value of one of the values of parent formview controls and set it to a textbox of child formview in insert mode. I wish to know which event should I use in codebehind to bind both controls? (that escenario will have paging and must keep the binding as if it was master detail)

I'd like them to keep their previous state (collapsed or expanded). How can I do this with the Formview? Outside the Formview.
View 6 Replies I have downloaded the AJAX Toolkit for .Net 3.5 I want to add a calendar popup for a field called Date Finished, I added the ScriptManager from the AJAX Extensions toolbox, and then I went into the source for Edit Mode on my webform, and added in the CalendarExtender. I get no error messages when compiling or running this, but the calendar does not pop up.

I have a Tabcontainer which contains formview1 in first tab and formview2 in second tab. I am not able to give Control based where Selectedvalue condition for formview2 datasource. I mean VS2008 is not picking it up automatically when I try to configure where condition. What should I have to do to make formview2 to make it working.

When I try to update the formview I get an error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". I had the formview in the tabpanel and it worked. I decided to make it a user control just to clean it up a bit since I have several tabs, each containing formviews or grids.

When I click on the Textbox or the ImageButton next to it, the Calaendar pup comes up. Some times it only shows the first two weeks. I often have to move to another tab on the form and go back to that tab in order for it to show the full calendar.Is there something I can do to fix this without having to move to another tab?Update;I figured out what it was. The form was cutting off the edges of the popup so that it was not allowing the popup to display completely.

On the user side, it seems to work, but it doesn't work on the server side code behind. The HasFile Property is always false, and it doesn't fire the UploadCompleted event either. I am trying to use a tabContainer and two tabPanels inside a ItemTemplate of a Formview.
As soon I put them in the ItemTemplate I receive the following error on the formView control in design view:

i am getting some errors with my asyncFileUpload. I have a page with <formview><updatePanel><AsyncFileUpload>
when it is in ADD mode, the page works fine. Now I put it in EDIT MODE. I open the page and it works fine but as soon as i try to upload an image the nightmare starts. Debuggin I can arrive to these conclusions:
when I open the page for the first time, the sequence is: method load, AdFormView_ItemCreated (empty method), the Bind Process, AdFormView_DataBound.... Everything is ok. I click the button to upload and: AdFormView_ItemCreated, CONTROLSKIN(), Load, DataBound... but at this point controls are not recognized. The FormView has not been created.

These work if the textbox is not in formview. I have the textbox which is in the formview. I can't get dynDateTime() to get it working when my textbox is in formview control.

I'm trying to use a Tab control with 5 tabs inside a form view, when I view my aspx page in Visual Studio 2008 it displays a error message stating "There was an error rendering the control. Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture or the neutral culture. Make sure "AjaxControlToolkit.properties.Resources.resources" was coreectly embedded or linked into assembly ... " running the site just shows a blank page (as the control isn't rendered).
If I remove the tab control from within the ItemTemplate (or EditItemTemplate) and put it directly onto the page it works fine. Googling for the error suggests the references aren't correct, so I've reset the toolbox, and re-added the reference - this time referencing the file in my Bin folder (not the installation path of the Ajax Toolkit). Still it throws the same error. Finally I've stripped the code out into a page with the bare minimum (no code behind) and it still throws the same error. I'm sure I had this working previously. I'm using Visual Studio 2008 on Windows 7 and I'm using the 3.5 files from Codeplex (AjaxControlToolkit.Binary.NET35.zip) targetting .NET Framework 3.5.
This is my mistake: If I put an AJAX Editor INSIDE a FormView it loses the layout (I see all the icons button disordered and the Editor without background). If I simultaneously put an Editor inside a FormView and externally in the page both works fine and I see both in the right way. I repeat: with another Editor in the page the Editor inside the FormView works fine!!
I think it may depend on the css, so I have tried to modify the "DesignPanelCssPath" and the "DocumentCssPath" of the Editor inside the FormView, but nothing has changed.
I have a Formview in INSERT Mode that is binded to a datatable. One of the colums in my Database called "AppointmentDate" is of type DateTime. On aspx, i have a ajax calender extender control. What I want to do is allow the User to Select the date from the Calender and also enter a time. Basically so they can make an appointment. View 5 RepliesI have a page with a FormView on it. The page is strictly for adding records to a Table. I have the FormView bound to an EntityDataSource and everything works greate except for one thing.
I want to initialize a date field in the FormView to today's date. So, in my page_load event I have:

The first time this page loads, the txtSetupDate field is initialized.
Although, and subsequent loads of the page doesn't initialize the Text Box. I step through the code in the debugger and I can see that the code is executig, but something (the FormView bind?) is "clearing" the Text Box.
