AJAX :: MaskedEdit Extender Is Not Working Properly In Chrome?
Mar 31, 2010
I'm facing an issue with chrome. I have multiview in which user control is loaded. This user control has one maskedEditExtender textbox (telephone textbox in ___-___-____ format). Issue is whenever the control is loaded i cannot see the masked feild but as soon i refresh the page I see it. I tried the script above but it didnt worked.
the problem is that the calendar does not pop up when using the computer of my customer, but I have no problems with my computer (I tested it with firefox, IE 7 and IE 8).
I also tested the calendar from other 2 pc and worked fine, so what could be the problem?
I want to save the input mask used in the control, but ONLY if a valid value was entered. In this markup, the mask is properly displayed and stored even if the user doesn't enter anything. Since a zero-length string is a valid value, the entered value is being stored in the database as (___) ___-____ If there is no value entered, the value stored should be a zero length string.
After the implementation of ajax drag and drop, we have observed that which is working fine in IE and Firefox and not in chrome and safari, In Google chrome and Safari when we try to drag a module, the page getting scrolling to the top of the page.
I wan to do a required field validation for the cascading dropdownlist . When my page first load out the validator is fired first in the google chrome, the callout extender message is prompt out first in the Google Chrome. I have tested the code in IE and safari, this two browsers never prompt out the validator callout first when the page is loaded.
i wonder why the google chrome will prompt out the validator when i validate the cascading dropdownlist. I have did some research on it, but failed to get any solution.
I have a GridView that is inside a Web User Control, that is inside an ASPX Page, that is wrapped by the Master Page.
Inside a GridView, I have a template field with DateTime type that has a TextBox inside EditTemplate. I extended this TextBox with CalendarExtender and it works ok in Internet Explorer.
I also have a DetailsView control on the same WebControl that I use to Insert new enrty. InsertTemplate for this field is the same as in GridView (Textbox with Calendar extender).
The problem occures when i click on the Edit link (or try click on the link that displays DetailsView in Insert mode for adding new entry) in any other browser: Chrome, Firefox, Opera.
The problem itself is that the calendar extender does not get poped out. I have a UpdateProgress Control on an ASPX page, that thie control is loaded into, that shows loading image while page is being posted back asynchronously.
In internet explorer the loading image is shown for jst a moment and then dissapears. Calendar extenders works perfectly.
As for the other browsers, the loader does not dissapear and none of ths postback links are working, as if it was waiting for the previous postback event or something else to finish. Finally I have to reload the page to get to the inicial stage or click a direct URL link to get somewhere else.
I have a problem with partial postback in FireFox in my index.aspx I have following code:
[Code]....
Finally my Partialview has following content:
[Code]....
This code is working fine when using IE or Google Chrome, but when using FireFox the code in my controller is never reached. I just can't figure out what I am missing
I have a GridView in which I have item,Edit ,Footer and Empty Item Template , and also a hovermenuextender to show Edit/Delete link on row hover. when my page opens if it doesn't have any data it show empty row , when user enters data and click on Add button it save's the data and load the grid. All works fine in IE and firefox but not in google Chrome.
After saving data in chrome all links stop working , but when i reload the page it workes fine if i remove the hovermenuextender it works fine in chrome also, So i think hovermenuextender creating problem in chrome when it's added at runtime(if empty grid comes hovermenuextender will be added after data saved)
ajax toolkit date picker is not working in latest google chrome browser. it works fine all browsers and earlier version of chrome but it doesnt work latest version. any body know the reason
Ajax calendar control not working properly with content place holder of Master Page. Most of time Calender Control hides when mouseover with out changing date in content place holder of Master Page.same code works in normal aspx pages.
I've had an issue with a javascript menu not working inside an Ajax update panel after the ajax postback. I was able to solve this in IE by calling the menu js function with a pageLoad() function which is automatically called by ajax. However I then discovered it doesn't work in any other browser.
Having search around I've only found two references to the issue; one where someone else has found the same thing and another where someone states that pageLoad isn't stable in other browsers.
Is there any way to solve this issue in browsers other than IE?
I am working on an app and have added masked edits to some of the textboxes. On Google Chrome v6.0.472.62 the backspace button is inoperative along with the delete button. I have found no method around this. It also functions incorrectly on the ajax toolkit website: [URL]
Chrome is fairly popular and I doubt I can use this code with this issue.
I developed my application form in aspx page its such a huge form(6000 lines), I used update progress there for that updatepanel, But i cant able to see the update progress icon when i rendering the page.
I am having a problem with partial postback through update panel, Update panel is not working properly in my asp.net app with IE8. But app works fine if i switch to compatibility mode of IE8.
it goes back to the orignial position on dragging if i use the style property , it does move but not as desired even with the click it movesdown nt able to deag and place as where needed.
I am using AjaxContrToolKit (AjaxControlToolkit.Compat.DragDrop.DragDropScripts.js) in my application to provide the drag and drop facility . After implementing the same in the application , observed that working fine in IE and Firefox browser . But the same is not working in Safari and WebKit (Chrome and Safari) browser . In these browsers(both Safari and Webkit), while clicking on the top of the panel getting scrolled up .
I am experiencing problems with the Ajax Update Progress control.
My application is about writing some comments and uploading a picture and when the picture is the process of being uploaded I would like to show an update progress. This is my code:
[Code]....
- when the button is clicked I see the update progress message for a couple of seconds but the picture and the text are not uploaded- I need to click the button again in order to see my picture and text uploaded but in this instance I don't see the update progress message.
I have one button on my page. On click of this I need to run four methods parallely in four saperate thead and need to show the progress bar for each method. Also need to update the label controls form those threaded methods.
Also I need to user Update panel of AJAX control tool kit to avoid post back to user.
I have used the read pool for that. When I remove the update panel the code works fine and update four labels but when I put the update panel it is not updating the labels.
I have an CalanderExtender in a Update panel that wraps my page. Inisde that it is in a hidden panel the gets shown when they pick what type of information they want to input. The problem is that in Chrome when you click on the Image nothing happens. Though it works fine in IE and Firefox.
I ran into a strange issue with the AJAX MaskedEditExtender control, the extender is used with the Mask="99/99/9999" and MaskType="Date". Initially when the page loads the textbox was set to readonly using textbox.Attributes.Add("readonly", "readonly") in the codebehind. After the page loads if the user clicks on a certain button it would change the textbox to editable using javascript code: textbox.readOnly = false. The strange thing is after that if you start typing in the textbox you can see the entire mask (__/__/____) shifting to the right as you type. For example it looks something like this: 09__/__/____ instead of the normal 09/__/____.
If the textbox was never set to readonly in the first place this behavior won't happen. So it seems something got messed up when changing from readonly to not. I was able to reproduce this in a barebone aspx page with just the textbox, the mask extender, and a button that when clicked turning off the textbox's readonly. Anyone knows how I can fix this?
