i have used some Ajax control toolkit in my web project. but the problem is that my web pages are loading very slowly because of ajax control toolkit, when i remove this web pages are working very fine and fast. I am using vs 2012 and framework 4.5..

I've upgraded my website to .NET4, and I'm now using the scriptManager's EnableCDN="true" tag. My Ajax scripts are being referenced from the Microsoft CDN just how I expected, but I can't seem to get my AjaxControlToolkit scripts to load from the CDN. Instead they all load locally through ScriptResource.axd.
I know where the CDN files are located, and I know that I could reference those files every time I use a control, but I've got a lot of legacy code that loads on its own from the scriptmanager, just pulling ScriptResource.axd files.
how to get the control toolkit scripts to load from the CDN? I already have the standard WebForms.js, etc.
Let me know if there is anything I can clear up, here is the script manager that I'm using: (I have tried the toolkitscriptmanager)

At present we are using <ajax:TabContainer> to load tabs. I have 5 user controls inside <ajax:TabPanel>.
The problem is that all the data on these 5 pages gets loaded at once and increases the loading time as well as it is very hard to debug. Can we do lazy loading uisng TabContainer control? so that only the data of the current tab is loaded and when we click on the other tab then that's control data gets loaded.

I am Getting the following error using the Numeric UpDown Control from Ajax Control Toolkit.

I went to the Code Plex site and down load the latest toolkit. Then followed the instructions on how to set up the toolkit to the letter. When I first loaded the toolkit everything worked. But now every time I start up my computer and start VS all the AJAX controls I have on any page has the green squiggly line underneath it and the error says:Element <AJAX Control Name> is not a known element. This can occur if there is a compilation error in the web site, or the webconfig file is missing.The only thing I can do is delete the Ajax Toolkit tab then add the tab again and then "Choose Items..." and load the Ajax controls again. Then I have to add an AJAX control from the toolkit to any webpage. Once that is done all the green squiggly lines go away and I can continue.This is becoming an incredible pain.

attached the ajax control toolkit to my custom tab into the toolbox(visual studio 2008).now the problem is that the controls are not dreagged over the wb page design view.but when i dragged the control to the source view and cofigure its target control id to the textbox id the following code is generated(the code is not working)..

I am using a master page which has a table that is used for layout. In one of the cells I have a Accordion control which holds links in each panel to navigate to the various pages. I have a few pages that take some time to load so I was trying to use the update panel progress control, however it seems that you cannot use a hyperlink or a link button as triggers for the update panel or if you can you cannot if it is in an accordion control.
So I am seeking advice on how to show a loading message when the pages load in the content panes.
I've got an issue where I'm unable to view Ajax controls within the Visual Studio toolbox section What makes this issue even more bizzare is that I'm able to view the controls of the .dll (AjaxControlToolkit.dll) in a test website. I can see Visual Studio iterate through the controls and add them to the tab in one project and absolutely nothing in the other. I've already checked to see if another tab has my controls and done multiple Toolbox resets. Obviously, I need consistency with this and for me to be able to easily add controls to my target website...Does anyone know why one VS2008 project displays controls correctly in one place but not in another project?
View 4 RepliesI'm developping an ASP.NET 4.0 application with several controls from the Ajax Toolkit Control.I need a tooltip component, so I use the HoverMenu (displays a Panel when hovering something) and I really like the design used by the ValidatorCallout.So I copied the HTML generated by the framework and added that to my panel.The problem is that it seems that the Ajax Toolkit controls dynamically load the CSS part they need. So it doesn't display anything as there are no ValidatorCallout on the page.I would be really annoyed if I had to add that control only to get the CSS.My solution so far is to also copy the CSS from the ASP.NET website, but I'm looking for a nicer way to reuse the existing Toolkit CSS.Is there a way to load the parts I want "manually" ?

I have update panel on the page to avoid postback and placed a dropdownlist control within that update panel. DrodownList is filled with Category names and also it's autopostback set to True.
Now whenever dropdownlist index change's on select, untill page loads complete data it should show mesage as "Loading.... in center and middle of the page and background should become bit transparent". And when page load completely with data then that background and message should get disappear.
Ajax Control Toolkit provides too many useful control and I've use them in a multi language application, nothings bad and everything's fine.
the question is that , How can I change the Ajax Control Toolkit Buttons Text, for example in Confirm Button Extender and vice versa

View 4 RepliesWhat would cause a single webpage to load slowly? I have javascript within the <head> element. The html consists of 2 <div> elements and within these <div> elements are a bunch of <table> elements and that's it.
The functionality of this site is such that each <table> element contains data that during the "onload" event, these <table> elements are hidden. Each <table> elements is controlled by an HTML menu (the menu itself is an html table). When a menu item is clicked, it will either display or hide the <table> element depending on whether it is already displayed or hidden.
I have an .aspx page with multiple .ascx (User Controls on it). One of the User controls is very slow in loading (calls a very slow webservice for the data.). Now, my question is how to render all the controls on the page (so the User can view those) and have a rotating icon for this control (slow one) (till it loads). I know, I need to bring AJAX into picture, but any clarification on that would help as I will be new to AJAX programming.
View 4 RepliesIf the leave the webpage (any webpage) on my web application for a while (say 15 min), if I again click on another page it takes a long time to load (20 seconds)
I had a look through the google chrome --> developer module and found that, it is the web page which is the culprit here and the 'LATENCY' time for it is 17 seconds !!! and the actual 'download' time is only 117 ms.
A. what could be the cause of this issue?
B. What can I do to fix it?
The Ajax control toolkit tab panel automatically inserts a space by all four corners of the body. For example, go to http://www.asp.net/ajax/ajaxcontroltoolkit/Samples/Tabs/Tabs.aspx and look at the TabPanel on the page. The is a space before "Signature:" and "Bio:" labels. How can I set the space-width to 0px; in the tabPanel body?
