May 25, 2010I ultimately need to show countries in one drop down then states/provinces drop down of the previously selected drop down. I'm sure everyone has seen this many times. My page shows the countries but does not show values in the province/states drop down. It's as if the webservice is never run. I've tried removing and adding the ajaxtoolkit reference. The tableadaters run simple working sql code. I'm really at a lose here.

Jquery - Calling Javascript From Code-behind Using Ajax?
Feb 16, 2011So I have this idea of creating a asp.net user control, to handle all forms of modal popups (whether it be error handling, forms, dialogs, etc).
I already created this before, placing the user control in the top master page, exposing it to all content pages, so I could do something like:
Master.Popup.ShowException(Exception);
And the usercontrol itself would have the necessary markup to look like a modal dialog, and in the show method just do a .Visible = true.
This is all fine, but I've started thinking of implementing a bit of style with jquery. I'd like for the usercontrol to have some sort of jquery animation on show. But I don't know how to go about achieving this, as I don't know how I would call that jquery function from the codebehind instead of the popup.visible = true.

Jul 22, 2010I'm trying to implement the cascading dropdown from the toolkit. I need to get the count in a sub category dropdown, if it's zero then I turn off the visibility of the sub category.
If I use the javascript OnChange event then my script fires before the web method, so I need to know how to fire my script AFTER the web method has fired.
Below is my code and the order I need it to fire.

Javascript - Apostrophe In Ajax Webservice Call?
Jan 28, 2011I'm calling a webservice using jQuery with .ajaxHere are the data parameters for the call:

It works fine. But when parameters Description or Titre contain the ' character , no call!!!
Does anyone have an idea how can i make it work even with apostrophe character in Titre and/or Description?

However, since the web service is called asynchronously, it doesn't wait until I get the return value from the web service, before it continues again. This is a bit of a problem for me, since the web service is in a for-loop. How do I make the Javascript wait until I hear back from the web service, before letting Javascript continue the for-loop?
