Add A Read More Button That Shows The Body Of An Article When Clicked
Apr 4, 2011
I have been searching the INTERNET for a solution to this problem with no luck. I am using a repeater to show the particulars of a document, and would like to add a read more button to the repeater that will show the body of the document when clicked. I am also open to suggestions that doesn't involve a repeater. Here is a screen shot to show what I am trying to do... So when working correctly the area that is boarders would only show when a link or button is clicked.
I basically want to add some Labels and Textboxes to my aspx page every time someone clicks on my "Add Article" button. From what I have so far, it will not continuously add new Labels and Textboxes. It creates the new, but gets rid of the old. ie.First Add Article button click (Label1 and Textbox1 created and shown)Second Add Article Button click (Label2 and Textbox2 created and shown, BUT Label1 and Textbox1 is now deleted and no longer visible on the page).
I have this issue i have been looking at for a while and cant seem to figure it out. I have two ddl's on my page and a InsertCommand from sqldatasource. My InsertCommand is actually updating the foreign key of the two ddl's in another table. When i click on my button it shows two numbers instead of one. The challenging thing now is that i have
DDLName.Items.RemoveAT("itemName.SelectedIndex")
after the insert so it would not duplicate what i am updating. If i take this statement out of my code. it updates well as in showing the one record that was updated. if i put it back in there it shows two records where updated. I tested my sql statement and its working fine meaning it shows only one record is updating.
I have a asp page with tow buttons search adn enter and asp required field validator in it, what I am trying to do is validate the input only when the enter button is clicked not the search button, right now when the search button is clicked it validates and throws an error.
My requirement is that, i will display 2 buttons Yes/No in Mail body, if the user clicks on Yes then without redirecting to webpage i need to update value in sql database. How to achieve this?
The whole thing is in a form, and it doesnt postback when this button is clicked. Im no good with javascript, but i got a feeling thats not the problem.
Obviously I am a total noob and this is simple to some of you, but I can not figure out why the rest of the sub works, but the button1.Text="Uploading, Please Wait..." seems to be completely ignored.
The button is supposed to change text when clicked but no method I have tried works with my page.
I am new to ASP.NET and have made a register page, 'get' which on submitting redirects to another page 'pick1' displaying the data in Gridview. In each row of the Gridview there are 'View' buttons which on clicking opens a pop-up page having 2 buttons 'send mail' and 'cancel'. On clicking 'send Mail' button, i want selected row of data to be sent by email instead of the entire gridview. Right now only the entire gridview data is coming to my mail. Also i want to attach a link to the email so that it redirects to the 'pick1' page again on clicking in email. How can I do it?
I have a button (btn1) and a table(Table1).At the moment in the load of the page is: table1.visible =falseIve tried putting in the button: table1.visible but it comes up with the blue line attached to the error: "property access must assign to the property or use its value"

I am facing problem with diplaying FileUpload control on my aspx page. The problem is that when I drag the control in design view, it is showing a bordered TextBox and a Browse button on it right side but when I run my application, the button becomes "Choose File" button and TextBox appears at the right side of the button instead of left side and also it does not have any border. When I select a file, it is only showing a file name instead of the complete path. let me know that how could I display this control the same way as it was displaying during design time? I am using below code to display the control.

I have a url whose query strings are concatenated based on selected items on a form, I need to do a post to this url, but an imagebutton control has to be clicked for the post to occur. I put the PostBackUrl property of the imagebutton inside the event of the image button, hence causing it to be clicked twice before eventually posting the url... but i really need to click once but this aint working. I know why its clicking twice, tried calling the url with javascript but it wasnt working.
