Dec 21, 2010I uploded the blogengine on th web server.On every first load it give me error oops page not found (404).
after i refresh it it works fine.

AJAX :: What Is The Best Way To Load Slide Shows In The Background
Jul 11, 2010I'm going to do a project soon for a photographer. There will be a number of pages that will have a photo album or slideshow on them. I'm trying to figure out the best way to have this site perform well and the best way to get the images on the client in the background.
I'm hoping to have the slide shows for the other pages load in the back ground after the home page loads. I thought this would not affect the loading of the home page and decrease the amount of time it would take for the other subsequent pages to load.
AJAX seems like a good fit for this with the async calls. I'm thinking about using an async call to fetch and cache the other images and/or slideshows.
Is this a good way to do this? Is there a better way of doing this? Would it be better to have anew thread do the caching to the client?

Mar 17, 2010I have an ASP.NET 3.5 website application using C# and SQL 2005 running on a web server. Now the application has the ability to create new aspx pages with content and the relative aspx.cs and design.cs pages needed on the fly and store them in the base directory on the server. Think of it as a crued Visual Studio website on the server for admin to click a few options on a page then the new pages are created for them without the need of a web developer. This all works fine and the code is working 100% (for the moment).
My problem now is the following: When i now navigate to this newly created page i get the following error - Parse Error : Could not load type 'Namespace.PageName'
I've looked into the reasoning and microsoft say "These errors occur if the .aspx page contains a reference to a code-behind module and if the application has not been built." Which now makes sense the application does not realise that these new pages are part of its system even though i can navigate to them.How do i get the system to recognise these new pages and rebuild itself accordingly?Now i cannot rebuild the system localy then reupload to the server, this needs to be accomplished on the server by the system, because the site cannot afford to have down time everytime admin decide to add new pages.

May 14, 2010I've searched around a lot, and honed this problem down to this case: I'm using the PRG pattern, pragmatically I'm using the same DTO for my post/get actions. It looks like when I have the dto with the data annotation attributes in the get action parameter list, the validation is always displaying errors, every time on initial page load. In some cases this could be desired behavior if you put asterisks in the error message, but how do I get rid of it?

Configuration :: Localhost Doesn't Recognize Images - Css But Shows Html Content
Dec 28, 2010on a server, I am trying to deploy a website. Originally, the page styles did not work and the some of the .gif and .jpg images didnt show up. I fixed the css problem by adding a http handler mapping through IIS. I tried the same thing to get the images to work but that didn't fix the problem. If the website was fully deployed im pretty sure the images would work so I dont want to change their paths (same with css). The handler mapping i added for css was for "*.css" of type system.web.staticfilehandler. This is the same type i tried for .jpg and .gif. I don't know specifically the purpose of system.web.staticfilehandler because msdn info is very short.

Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute. I have the relevant service pack, download ajax toolkit and I have used the appropriate declerations on the top of the page, I hope.
