Configuration :: MySQL Connection Failure On Deployment?

I've got an asp.net application which I've deployed to my shared hosting provider. I've modified the connection string to point to the MySQL database stored on the shared server, and the page loads correctly.
However, when I run the page through the internet (as opposed to through VWD2008), I get an error:
Unable to connect to any of the specified MySQL hosts.
I'm not sure where I've gone wrong. The MySql.Data.dll; MySql.Data.Entity.dll and MySql.Web.dll are all in the /Bin folder.
I have created roles and users using ASP.NET configurations for login validations, it works fine if I run my application within project but when I publish my site and try to run from my Inetpub it giving this error. I tried all shorts of solutions posted in website but nothing worked for me.
"Failed to generate a user instance of SQL Server due to a failure in copying database files. The connection will be closed"
I am trying to insert a record into a MySQL table, but the operation fails without generating any error. Here is what I have:

I am not passing idProject, which is the primary key, and set to autoIncrement..How can I get any diagnostic output from the insert attempt to indicate what the error is?

The datatype for fields in table temp_save are:
fil_no-->INT(15)( to store a 15 digit number) order-->LONGTEXT(to store contents from HTMLEditor(ajax control)) orderdate-->DATE(to store date)
I have implemented a send mail functionality. For that i installed the SMTP Service on my local machine by going to 'add remove programs' -> windows components -> iis (properties) -> checked the smtp service option and installed. Below is my code that i am using in my application to setup the smtpclient object and sendmail()

Now i don't know why i am getting 'Failure sending mail' error. Definitely i am missing something. what i am missing and how can this be fixed. This is frustrating me now as i dont know much in this area.

But for the life of me I can't figure out what's wrong with my syntax...It's prolly something simple, but again, I need a pair of fresh eyes to look at this.

I am currently making a website on asp.net and i am creating methods using TableAdapter. I am connected to MySql using an ODBC connection. The select * from department will work perfectly for me but when trying to use parameters i am given an error message on the wizard. select * from department where name = @name gives me the error: Error in where clause near '@' unable to parse query text. also tried select * from department where name = ?: this gives me the error: No mapping exists from dbTypeObject to a known Odbc type.

To start, I am a new web developer. I have been writing C# for about a year, but just recently learning web development. I wrote an application that connects to a MySql database and when I run it on my localhost it wokrs great! I created a ubuntu server on amazon ec2 and it is hosting my MySql server. It is up and running just fine. I created a windows 2008 server instance on amazon ec2 to host my asp.net project. I published my project to my windows server and I went to my public IP address and my site was there! it was so easy...
However, when I went to login, I recieved this error: Could not load file or assembly 'MySql.Data, Version=6.3.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c5687fc88969c44d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. I made sure the correct connector was installed on ym server. I have the most recent mysql connector installed. I do not know how the publish actually works. I saw some forum posts that said maybe I was missing DLLs from my bin directory but I cannot even find my bin directory for my project on the server. I also saw some posts about changing the web config file, but that was gibberish to me at this level.
I can check whether username exists or not successfully but not for email. any ideas why it isn't working? Error message was that i did not close my connection. using System;
I'm busy working on an ASP.NET Web Application (3.5) and can't seem to connect to a MySQL DB. I first created the entire application using a WinForms template and everything works 100%, but as soon as I move the exact same code to the Web Application, I can't connect anymore. Here's the code:

As soon as I try to create the new OdbcConnection instance, I get the error:
Code: ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
As noted this works in a WinForms app, and even more strange is that I don't even specify a DSN name...
All I could find from reading through forums all over the internet is suggestions of downgrading the MySQL ODBC driver version, which I'd really rather not...
I am using WIX 3.6 for VS2010 to create our MSI's for our web application setups. This is all working fine and all in terms of deployment and uninstall.
I recently allowed the user to specify the virtual directory and application pool names to support side by side installs. This is all fine as I have created my own setup bootstrapper.
The issue is with uninstallation.
If the user does not specify the names and leaves the default values, it will install successfully.
The minute the user updates the names from the defaults, the install process will not remove the app-pool and virtual directory. This is what I have found consistently with my testing.
We are working on an asp.net project. There are 5 developers in the team. The team size might increase in future. Deployment of the project, often creates some problems for us. We are using svn (very much like vss) to update and commit our codes to a common location.Apart from all these, the changes made by one developer sometimes affects the changes made by another. We usually move only the aspx files and dlls to the server. This causes lots of issues to the testing team as the testers need to check the entire application whenever a dll is updated on the server. We are now looking for a deployment method, that includes both pre-compilation as well a means that enables us to do patch releases (like making a change to the aspx.cs alone without having to update the entire dll) If it is not possible, what is the best deployment method that would suit our requirements?
