Controls :: Getting Error In Downloading Image In ASPX Page To PDF
Apr 27, 2016
i use generic handler to store an image. When i use in my webpage to retrieve image from handler and download into PDF, it shows an error msg as "Illegal characters in path."
when i will click on the a.jpg that is an image, i will open a dialoguebox having yes & no, when i click on the yes, the image should be downloaded in my harddisk, and when i click on No, It will not perform any action
i want the following in 1 div. say <div="topdiv">: i want to display on aspx page one image and its description fetched from database. i want to provide a next button at the side of it, onclick of this the next image and descriptn must be displayed without page being refreshed. i have another div (<div="divbottom"> which displays other information..
Ive created a Web App where it is possible to download an xml file from the server to the client. It works just fine except that the Save Dialog recognizes the file being dowloaded as of type .aspx and the name of the file as being the name of the page I' on. The page is called Download.aspx and it contains a button that when clicked executes the following code:
[Code]....
The save dialog appears and says:
Name: Download.aspx
Type: ASP.NET Server Page, 1,16KB
From: 127.0.0.1
If I download the file and open it it contains the correct Xml file content and nothing else, so it is working correctly. It just annoys me that it appears to the user that he is downloading the aspx site (and it shows up as such in windows explorer as well) rather than the xml file which is the actual content.
I have an existing project with a silverlight3 app. First I created SALESservice.svc.This is working fine. Now I added another TARGETservice.svc to my project and rebuilded my entire project but when I am trying to add the service reference in to the silverlight app I get the following error:
There was an error downloading metadata from the address.verify that you have entered a valid address. I didn't write any code in ISALESservice.svc AND ITARGETservice.svc . I have written in SALESservice.svc.cs AND TARGETservice.svc.cs files. Is this causing error? But for SALESservice.svc it is working. I didn't add any code in web.config file.
All the examples and websites i have looked at redirect a user to the error.aspx page when an error occurs. How do you just display a friendly error message on the page the user is viewing saying something like "Sorry unable to do whatever" I've tried using a try catch block on my class that executes a stored procedure and put another try catch on the controller, but this does not work and i still get the default error message (System.InvalidOperationException was unhandled by user code) My code is below:
[Code]....
So how can i just return ViewData["SqlError"] message in page.
I am generating an aspx page which then I need to convert to png and store it somewhere. A similiar situation with mine was asked before here but got still no response. I tried also the code that the Swapnil Fegade has asked but the code is looping continually making request to loading page and no conversion is actually being done.I found some solutions on the web also but they require WebBrowser control which i understood can be used in windows form but i am building a web project.
I want to convert .aspx page content to .JPG image means like we take screen shot of page and save as image but i want whole page should save as image and based on that i want to generate PDF for that Page.
In trying to upload images to a server, I often get the following error "Maximum request length exceeded.".
I have tried to check for the size in codebehind but it appears that the error comes from the service provider or something else because I never even get to debug it since the error appears even before the Page_Init Subroutine in codebehind.
What is the best method of checking for the image size and then resizing it dymamically to a maximum file size as well as length and width size.
If I call newpage.aspx directly, I get a "URI Formats are not supported error"
I think its close, though. this solution is needed to get around the fact that skype does not have an https option for its skype buttons which tell the status of the skype user. Creating this proxy page will allow this to work without causing a 'mixed' security alert in the browser.
I am using a custom error page in IIS 6:<customErrors redirectMode="ResponseRedirect" mode="On" defaultRedirect="Error2.aspx"/>I want to disable authentication for the custom error page because the error being raised is related to an authentication module and I don't want to get into an infinite loop and I want to display a clean error page to the user. I have been trying the following configuration to do that.
I have a database with images in it and now I want to randomly select an image from the database and view it on the aspx page.I know how to read images from a database depending on the id.Database I am using MS Sql and c# programming.
I have a HTML IMG tag on my master page and there are aspx pages in the same folder which access this master page and it works fine.but if i have aspx pages in sub folder(inside root) which access the master page, the IMG doesnt work, the master page is in root folder.
I have 4 checkboxes named(Laptop, Car, Phone, TV) and a button. when user checks one Car checkbox and clicks a button, car specifications pdf should be downloaded. Similarly when phone or laptop checkbox checked, relevant pdf's should be downloaded. For this i have written following code
[Code]....
This code is working well in VS2008 but has issues when run in localhost.
Issue --> Check one checkbox like chkPhone and click on button, the Phone pdf gets downloaded and uncheck chkPhone checkbox and check other one like chkCar and when clicked on button to download, getting following errors.
1. xml parsing error not well-formed --> this error is getting only in mozilla.
2. HTTP/1.1 100 Continue Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.1 Date: Wed, 09 Mar 2011 05:34:23 GMT X-Powered-By: ASP.NET HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: Microsoft-IIS/5.1 Date: Wed, 09 Mar 2011 05:34:23 GMT X-Powered-By: ASP.NET X-AspNet-Version: 2.0.50727 Content-disposition: attachment; filename=Car.pdf;
I have googled the issues and find the following sites[URL] For second issue i added the following line
I am using technologies Visual studio 2005, .net frame work 2.0, ASP.NET, C#.NET, MS-Office 2003, Chart Director Tool and Operating system Windows Xp.Iam able to create a power point slide using my C#.net code. I am trying since more than 5 days to retrieve and display an image in a web page, no success so far.1. I have a table named image, with three fields ImageID, Img_data, Img_contenttype .2. I am able to display the ImageID as a link in my page.3. On clicking the link i am going to my viewImage.aspx?img=ImageID .This far it works ok. ImageID is passing in the query string.4. In this page imageID is being captured from query string and stored in ImageIdview int variable. viewImage.aspx has an image tag to display the image as below.
In my ASP.Net page, I allow users to download files from the server. If the file is of even a moderate size (does it with a 40 meg file, for example), when downloading, it fails with the error message:
"Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service".
I've checked out the server, and it's quiet (CPU, RAM, Hard Drive, Task Manager Processes, etc all very low in their numbers).
I've run the code from several client machines and I'm getting this error message no matter where I run it from.
I have read about the file upload control in asp.net and tried it and works great. But I want to know if I can use it for another purpose. I have a video capture control that can be used for webcam apps or anything else. It has a method called HTTPUpload where it will upload an image file to the server using the HTTP upload protocol. My question is can i use the .net FileUpload control for this? And if so, how can I pass the image file straight to the .aspx page without having to submit a button? Would the file be as a query string variable?
Arguments: WebServer = web server address WebPage = name of upload web page Fields = list of 'fieldname' and 'fieldvalue' values delimited with '|' Files = list of 'fieldname' and 'file path' values delimited with '|' Returns TRUE if successful, or FALSE otherwise. Example vcx.HTTPUpload "[URL] , "upload.asp", "field1|value1|field2|value2" , "file1|c:foldermypic.jpg|file2|c:foldermyvideo.avi"
dont know if this is teh correct forum for this q.i want to know how can i get an image from the scanner connected to the computer using asp.net and C# code behind

I am attaching an image to a listview from code behind, the image depends on a value from the database and there are 5 different images. It sometimes works fine and then will randomly come up with an error, when nothing has changed, the error is:[Code]....
It doesn't seem to make sense to me because ImageUrl IS a member of image. Here is my code:
