I have 2 views(2 view pages) in first view page I will display some names in this page i will have add button after clicking on add button it will redirect to another page (2nd view page) in this i will display multi selected list or listview then i will select multiple items from multi selected list now this selected items has to bind with first view names and display updated list in 1st page?
My question is this selected items in 2nd view page has to bind with 1st view page and display how to do this using mvc razor for mobile application?

I have a Calendar Control on one page - the user clicks on a date and goes to another page which displays the details from a diary database for the selected date - works fine so far! Now, whilst on that second page I want to give the User the choice of displaying all diary entries for the month, or for the year. So I could create a further 2 separate pages that display a GridView for a particular Month or a particular Year but that seems a bit of an over kill.
How can I make the Grid View display from different queries or maybe dynamically change the query depending upon whether a Month or Year is selected? So my start page with the Calendar Control has this code:

After which the User gets taken to diaryPage.aspx with the Selected Date from the Calendar Control. I then created a Table Adapter on the diary Page to query the diary Database with the Selected Date and drive the Grid View to display the details for that Selected Date.

SO on that page, how do I now let the User query by Month or Year using the same Grid View? Maybe there is some generic SQL statement that could retrieve either the Selected Day, or Year or Month depending on the parameters sent to it?

When I am creating Strongly Typed View I get lots of Classes in View Data Drop down. Classes like Automapper, ninject, Interface..., latebound... Due this its very hard to find my project classes. Is there any way to restrict dropdown to only display my project classes?

I have a page that displays a grid view based on a query string. When I click the edit button I need to send the grid view into edit mode based on the query string. I have this so far:

When I requested the page the first time, the grid view displayed properly, and when I clicked the edit link button, it did trigger the update mode. However, I can't get the cancel mode to operate properly; in other words, cancel never sends it back to normal mode, as a result, with each new page request, I'm always stuck on the last edited record.

I'm trying to create a list (customized grid) with data pulled from the database and display it to the user in a format that looks very much like a forum thread and replies or posts.Which each of these "posts" I require to have buttons specific to that particular column to edit, delete etc.
For this i am using row filter and filtering the values in the Dt and then i am binding the dt back to the ListView here i am getting the problem as "The data source does not support sorting". I am aware that i am changing the data source, but before binding the datasource manually to

I have a form in which I have a dropdown list and a list box.
This dropdownlist is populated by a column in thetable . This drop down list may have values ranging from 1 to 5.
This values in the dropdownlist are to be made the caption headings of the list view control.
For insance if there are three values in the dropdown there should be three columns in the list box with the heading as the values of the dropdownlist.for 5 it should be 5.
Also there are two additional columns which would be constant.
I want to display images that a user uploads in a list view so that all the images a user uploads will appear as at the moment no images appear using the list view but the xml data source file gets updated. I am using VS 2008 usinf asp.net, vb and xml codes. What would I need to do so that the images appaer in the list view.
