I am selecting time from dropdownlist. and want to convert it in datetime and store it in database. When I am converting it to Datetime using following statement.
DateTime start_Time = Convert.ToDateTime(start_ts);
but it is showing as : date:12:00:00AM
On a website I'm building user's can subscribe to newsletters by entering their email address into a form and submitting. This will then add them to a 'Newsletter_Subscribers' table in the database.
Users can also sign-up to the website by entering their username/password/email details. They also have the option of subscribing to the newsletter. If they choose to do this then their email address is added to the 'Newsletter_Subscribers' table.
However, I wish to make the data more consistent rather than storing the email address into two different unrelated tables in the database.
Has anyone tackled this issue before, and what is the best way to go about storing this information?
One idea I had was to have a 'Users' table, a 'Users.Members' table and a 'Users.Subscribers' table. All three would have a relating UserID column, with the email address stored in the 'Users' table but I'm not sure this is the best method as I would also wish to store the Username/Password in the 'Users' table in case we had a 'Users.Advertisers' table for example.

I have been able to sort the scanning and display part of this application but I need to know how to store the infromation entered into a textbox to a database and then be able to display the stored data as a list at a later stage.E.G. i've got some problem reading excel files to store into sqlserver database. currently my code has a fileupload control and a button for me to save the excel file into a folder and read the data inside the excel file and write it into the sql database. The code works only if the excel sheet name is Sheet1.xlsx, however i tried upload a diff file named ImportUserFile.xlsx and it gave me the exception below. 'ImportUserFile$' is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters or punctuation and that it is not too long. i have also tried other file names and it seemed only Sheet1.xlsx works.

I creating a page where our clients can view advertising images and then able to download the images in different file formats. So I need the images and the different download types all saved into the same row in the database so that when I go to display them on the page when they select a picture the right download links will be there. So here where my problem comes in, I don't know how to code it so that I can insert mulitiple file paths into the database at once. The images are saved in a table called images. The downloads are saved in a table called Image Downloads.
Here is the code for the page I have it coded to submit the images to the database but not sure how to add the rest. I have got three different sql datasources for each table not sure if that's the way to go.
