Can I know How to Merge two Database in One Master Database.
My DB1 database has same Design as DB2 database and also same table name with same structur.
Actuallly we are using different data store for different unit.
Now Planning to merge existing database and make it one.
I did a merge on 2 datatable. The result is as per After Merged below, but I expected to the result to be the Expected result.

trying to merge two sets of data from a SqlDataAdapter and an OleDataAdapter and then populate a gridview on a button click. If I run just the SqldataAdapter on its own the grid populates as expected. This also applies to the OleDataAdapter. The problem arises when I try to merge the two. I get an empty table, hence dt3 is not populating. The code i'm using is below.Does anyone know why this doesn't work?

I tried to restore master database to test server, but I got some errors regarding about user databases are not exists in test server. I don't want to restore user databases, I only need master database for evaluate user login.
The website is over half way done and the functionality for the blog is (except for adding posts) is already implemented and working correctlyI have a SQLExpress 2008 backendBlog posts are rendered on the page with full HTML markup within a label control.
All of the above is done and working. Though I am essentially new to creating websites with ASP.NET, CSS and SQL, I am sure that I could simply carry on and make a login page with some controls that would allow me to add records (blog posts) directly to the database on the host server. However, I am fearful of doing this because I know that malicious code can be passed in this way. Also, because of my lack of knowledge, the only way that I know of to pass the code from a control to the database is to disable validation for the page the control is on. Without a doubt I do not want to do that.
So what are my options for getting blog posts into the database? Is it safest for me to fully create the post in html and update a copy of the database that resides on my local machine? If I do it this way, how can I merge the records from the database on the local machine with the records on the remote server?
I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to transfer records from SQL central database (who has a public IP address) into SQL local database (who doesn't have a public IP)?
or if it's not possible can I use a centralized website instead to pass some data into the local website? (but i'm not sure if it will have some security concerns)..
Creating a system with web front end and SQL backend (microsoft obviously). I have tried using the asp.netsqlprovider but i can;t as i am only allowed one database on the server, so i then tried to update my current database with the triggers to input the schema into the already existing database.Next step i create my own table with two simple fields of username and password and try and authenticate that way, i can't get that to work either.
I ahve limited permissions on the network as i am a University Student. I really don't know what to do. Never had to create a log on system before and i thought it would be far simpler than this. I ahve used Microsoft's sqlprovider schema before and it worked fine. I have also authenticated via IIS and AD too before. I can't do any of those two in this instance it seems.I need an alternative for logging in users, if needs be in can be crude. I also still need to have some kind of two different views too for logged in users and not logged in users, but that can change if needs must.Don't let me down people, haha. On my dev system, I have mostly dummy data that I test with and in production is the real data for my web application. I recently added a new feature to the app that required a new table, and a new field for a foreign key in an existing table. I now need to upload that new structure to the production database without overwriting the live data with my test data.
If I run the Database Publishing Wizard, and choose "Schema Only" will it import the new structure and leave the existing data alone, or will it drop the records in my production database tables?

design pattern that works well with Visual Studio data tools against an MS SQL server; to retrieve a subset of an object's fields for all rows, and then on-demand retrieve the remainder for one row. I.E. just the small summary fields that I will serialize to a master grid view, then the larger properties including a large blob that I will render in a detail view. The performance hit from retrieving the large blob with the master result list would be too great.
The data shape is static, and I can define two separate data classes to match the specific summary vs. detail information returned. However that sounds anti-pattern-ish, to define the data classes specifically to suit the presentation layer. It also presents another problem, how to translate from the summary item to the detail item in an object-oriented way?
I'm not too familiar with webservices, so I was wondering the following:
I'm receiving data from a webservice. I want to save this to the database, but first I have to compare it to the data that's already there. I can get a recordset from the db and loop through it. But how should I compare it to the data from the webservice? Retrieve all the info from the service, put them in objects and create an equals method, and, if it doesn't exist, add a new record? This seems to me, that's the way to go, but since it's, in my opinion, a common task, maybe there's some object/method that does this automatically for me.

The first time I visit the site and attempt a database connection I get this error:
Exception Details: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'.
But when I refresh, it all works fine. I'm at a bit of a loss. I don't believe I'm attempting to create a database, but I realise that the error may not really have anything to do with that. This is hosted at GoDaddy shared hosting. The database was created and I used an SQL script to create the tables initially and populate the data. My connection string works as I can pull data from the database, but I do have
a feeling it will be a web.config setting that will correct this.

I had set the relation to cascade for update in the dataset and the HierarchicalUpdate to true. But stil when I run TableApapterManager.UpdateAll(dataset), I get a foriegn key violation error. Following is the code I used:

I have two tables which i was able to merge in one datalist, but now am trying to merge more than two tables in one datalist and i couldn't figure out how to do that.
