actuly my site is working fine but suddenly site is giving "ORA-24338: statement handle not executed" this error i'm try to resolve this error but i could not get proper solution
my prblm is tht when i access my site on my PC using "www.xyz.in" at tht time i access my site with report properly but whn i access my site on out of company or any cyber cafe or other internet pc thn i could nt access my site properly tht site is give me error.......

I was wondering in which order MSSQL executes a command. Say if I have this statement:
select top 1 * from table1 t1
inner join table2 t2 on t2.productid = t1.id
order by t1.buydate desc
what is done first:
- find if there's a matching record in t2 through the join
OR
- sort the results in t1 based on the buydate?
And when I have a large database with many records in both t1 and t2, what are possible performance issues I might hit?

The following stored procedure updates the value in LeaveTransaction table.

My Question here:
I have written the above trigger,which would update the value for the corresponding records in another table ie) LeaveCumulative table. The trigger is not updating the value in the designated rows in the leavecumulative table. Whereas when I excute the same update command separately in the Query Editor window the trigger is working fine.

I've read that OnClick is executed on the server and onClientClick is executed on the client. Is it better to use OnClientClick to do something like close a modal popup?
If my understanding is correct then this would avoid a trip to the server to accomplish the same task. This would be great for something that doesn't need to make a round trip to the server and back.

at present our site has a search function which then populates a grid with results from our catalogue database... I'm trying to implement product availability into the grid, but the stock information is stored in a completely different database in a different location. Both the main search results and the stock levels have to be referenced in the same datasource to get them both in the same grid; does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this? I'm not hugely experienced with SQL, but could I create a view containing aspects of both db's or are these limited to a single db?

I'm having problem getting the syntax right for an SQL statement for a Progress database. I have the column "Resource" which is a reserved word and according to the Openedge SQL Reference I can only use reserved words if I delimit them with double quotation marks.
So how do I write this line...
Dim comm As New OdbcCommand("SELECT Resource FROM PUB.ActOper WHERE CreDate > TO_DATE ('05/24/2010')", conn)
...with double quotes around Resource? I've tried a bunch of different combinations but I get "Expression expected" or "valid continuation expected" or something similar.

I'm trying to read Excel file header column name. Then I can query data from excel using SELECT statement. For instance. column name is name,
department and email. Then I want this three header name being detected using code and put in select statement. User no need to care about the
header name and we can use code to read the header name instead of hardcode header name inside SELECT statement.

I'm creating a site that will offer several different services (blogs, videos, images..), all under the same site.
Each service will use a separate database and all services must use the same membeship info. Users will only need one login to access all these services.
For the membership database i will use the default aspnetdb database.
There are two ways i can think of:
1) Use a join-query between two databases, each time i want to show some service records per user.
2) Create a custom membership-info table in each service's database, and keep it in sync with the master membership table in aspnetdb database.
The custom membership table will be like this:
Id - int, primary, identity
UserId - uniqueidentifier (of aspnetdb database)
What is the best way to do this in the long run, when i will have six or seven or more services ?

Ours is a Asp.net web application. Database is Oracle. Its an Internet Application.
Database will be in one location and Web application in another. Data from Oracle to Web application will be passed over Internet.
We are using EnterpriseLibrary. And provider is System.Data.OracleClient.
We need a provider which encrypts the data while passing data over internet.
Do we need to go for some third party Providers or ODBC ?

I am trying to pass a textbox integer to a sql statement in my code behind using the "where" statement to filter what I get from the mysql database but for some reason, it diplays nothing. If I change the variable in the "where" statement to an actual digit between 1 and 12, it works.

I have a web application developed in VS 2008. On a form, I have a <select> control that looks like this:

I'm having some problems with the module urlrewriter.net for ASP.NET.I have a multilingual site with a URL like this;

To support languages I use this rewrite rule;

Then in my code I get the de-DE part and set the right culture for the current thread. All of this works well.After I login on the website I get a message "Hello, user x" to show i'm logged in. When navigating to another page, it doesn't display this message anymore and it seems like the page comes from the cache or something with the old (not logged in) data. Also, when I attach the debugger, nothing is executed for this request. If I visit the page like ~/home.aspx instead of ~/de-DE/home.aspx, does problem does not occur.
