I'm trying to rework some code I've found, and it's all now working except for the date (dbDate). I need to keep it as a date value (and not convert to string), but I can't get the code to work:

When i retrieve date from the datebase it appears as dd/MM/yy, that's fine. But i cannot insert a new date as same format?! It will only accept MM/dd/yy or yy/mm/dd.Right now i'm using this code to correct the error:

I have several web sequential pages which will modify a record and its child records in the database, called a "project". Such a project is currently passed between pages using its database ID in the URL parameters.
A project has some information specific to itself, and also consists of one or more Tasks, which each have information specific to itself.
Is it faster (alternatively, more maintainable or more easily understood) to hit the database each time I need to query the same project (and its tasks), or should I query the database once (either once for each page or once for all pages and save to Session) and check the saved object rather than the database?
I'm trying to make sure a user selects a date in the calendar by checking for it with OnItemInserting command...since I can't just use a validation control. what I need to adjust in this code behind to cancel the request and activate the label when no date is selected? Apparently looking for an empty or null value won't work...

I'm working on a blog and want to show my posts in eastern time zone. i figured that storing everything UTC would be the proper way. This creates a few challenges though:I have to convert all times from UTC to Eastern. This is not a biggie but adds a lot of code.And the "biggie" is that I use a short-date time to reference the posts by passing in a query, ala blogger. The problem is that there is no way to convert the short date time to the proper UTC date because I'm lacking the posted time info.

I have a little problem with a query. I'm selecting data using the between command, But when I select the initial date equal to the final date the query doesn't show data.I know that the problem is the format. In my database I got something like this:2009-05-22 15:32:52.000. But when I send the date parameter from ASP.NET Page I sent only the Date (2009-05-22).So, I want to fix this thing. I cannot change the Datetime inside the database.I was thinking adding 1 day to the final date, So when the user select the same date I change the range behind the scene and then show the data. What do you think?

I have a label control namelyNext Payment Date in which i want to store that upcoming date(next due date).
