Flash Can't Find FLVplayback Skin File While Running In Mvc View
Nov 22, 2010
why FLVPlayback isn't working properly in MVC views? I think i narrowed it down to the "hard coded" skin url file not being correct. Where should I put the skin file( e.g. skinOverAllNoCaption.swf) so that flash can find it? Or are there any alternative approaches to somehow setting the skin file dynamically.
I'm trying to add Embeded flash in aspx page running on iis 7.5 windows server 2008. When i'm adding the Embeded code src=/mylocation/test.swf it works fine. But when I'm adding fileserver location src="file:\c: est.swf the page doesn't load.
The code works fine in normal html file on my desktop.
I'm in the process of building a webforms site. In the grand tradition of programmers, I have been looking for collections of skins/themes/css for asp.net controls to avoid the work of building them myself.Especially since I'm graphically challenged. I've found numerous sites with templates for drupal, DNN, etc but the only places I've found asp.net control themes/skin/css collections is within commercial component libs that cost more than i'm able to afford.
The absence of these collections is also making me question how I'm building the site since I assume the "theme" sites would be providing these collections if there was a demand.
Can anyone point me to where I can find inexpensive or free asp.net theme/skin collections or give me some pointers about how to build a site without requiring a bunch of work to create them from scratch.
In telerik:RadEditor tag ..I haven't specified any property such as Skin=Skin1 or whatever..so its using some default skin...In the Skins folder..there's this folder named "Default" that's got images and css files...Is "Default" what it's using ??? now when I change something in the Default skin's CSS file...changes do not reflect on my page...so how do I find out which css its using ??can't figure out nothing from a path like that
For this Editor mainly 3 css files are being used namely Editor.Default.css,Window.Default.css and ToolBar.Default.css..now when I view page source , I can't find refernce to any of these 3 css files...Also in firebug , under "Styles" where that weird css path is shown, its displaying CSS classes like .reToolbar , etc...now ALL the Skins' CSS files have got this CSS class ".reToolbar" ..so how to find out which CSS file's class is this particular ".reToolbar class" ??
We have a mid-sized asp.net project that we just promoted from our dev server (Windows 2003) to an external test server (Windows 2008 R2). On the test server, IIS is not finding our home page, which is located in the views/home folder (404 error). As far as we can tell, the settings are the same on both servers. I've confirmed HTTP redirection is installed. Is there perhaps some critical configuration we may have missed on IIS7.5 to let it know where to find the view and/or home page?
Question: Is it possible to embed .skin files as a resource?
However, the last thing I would like to do is embed skin files in this project so that all the controls have the same look. I know I can control look solely with css, but I would like to control some of the other asp attributes as well(ie AllowSorting and AllowPaging attributes of a grid). Is it possible to embed skin files as a resource? Or will each individial project need a copy of the skin file? If anyone could provide insight on how I can go about embedding a skin file..
We have a legacy app with multiple asp.net themes. Each theme have a .skin file. Each skin file is almost identical except for some things. The files share a lot of similarities. Is it possible to share a common .skin file across themes?
Is there anyway i can mention which CSS file should be attached to my Page automatically when running A Page with ASP.NET Themes /Skins ? I want to associate my own CSS which resides in a folder other than the APP_Themes Folder to the Page
When I format an accordion control using a skin file (as opposed to entering the formatting as attributes on each <asp:Accordion> tag), the control renders as expected when the website is run. However, in the VS2010 designer, the control won't display but instead shows the generic "Error Rendering Control" box which hasthe exception, "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute."
I am a student and i want to make online gaming website as a part of my academic project.
Now the problem that i am facing is that as it is an academic project i have to use downloaded swf games into my project . now i want to fetch the highest score for an individual for a particular game and i want to store that data into my database so that i can populate the list of high scorers for any particular game on my webpage.
I need to open a file which is called FileUpload.swf, apparently it's a Shockwave Flash object. I have this object in my Visual Studio now but I can't see the code, because I guess I need to download something to be able to see it. I am confused about what to download and where to download it to on my PC? I don't have any experience with Flash. Also it would be nice if the download is not to heavy, as I am running out of space on my C drive on my PC. So could you tell me what to download? Where to download it from? And where to download it to on my PC? The FileUpload.swf file is just simple Flash UI which allows us to upload multiple files in ASP.NET, I encountered it on page 302 in Andrew Siemers book "ASP.NET Social Networking".
I have done an multiple upload with uplodify jquery, but when i check it in a system with no flash player installed a blank area is present in the region of the uplodify flash button, how can i show the user some missing plug-in like in other sites to install latest flash player plug-in... or suggest some option to make upload possible in a button click (single/multiple) even when user don't have flash installed.
I'm looking for a technique in order to upload files and show the progress. Both componentart and componentone use an ajax calls to a file with axd extension.I want to build my server control to works like these. ( I don't want to use these components )
We have a swf file that we want to secure and make available only to authorized users.
I embedded the file in an aspx page and that works fine, since ASP.NET handles the aspx page, I can use ASP.NET authorization features and in the web.config restrict the access to roles="AllowedUsers" for example.
However smart users could still get to the file by accessing directly for example www.mysite/flash.swf. We want to make that kind of access secure.
I am trying to create strogly typed datasets for my project. When I right click on the xsd file that I need to generate a strongly typed dataset for I can't find the 'Advanced' properties as described in the below article (almost half way down)[URL]As I do not see the Advanced properties option I can't find the 'Custom Tool' property/option to set its value to 'MSDatasetGenerator'. Do I have to install some kind of patch on my VS 2005?
