Forms Data Controls :: How To Bind To Label From Stored Procedure
I have gone through all of the forums and couldn't find an answer to my problem, which is:: I need to bind a result from a stored procedure to a label. What I have done so far is to try to use <%# Bind(SP_Result_FIeld_Name)#> and that does nothing. I also tried to assign the results to a string in the code behind, all that did was put the words "TTLCount" in my label. Part of the problem might be that it is pulling from a temp table and the field I'm pulling has an assigned name ( Count(*) as TTLCount)... The rest of my SP is returning to a gridview which works fine. I just need to display the total number returned and the total number of returned that have email addresses. Here is what I have so far::

Forms Data Controls :: Dynamically Bind Grid Then Send To Stored Procedure?
I am looking to have 1 Gridview/Datagrid (which ever is now more appropriate) on my code in front,
the columns will need to be dynamically generated, with a "Always present" checkbox control with the default being checked
Each column will be a Label type - so not editable
The Idea is the user will tick or until each item that they wish to submit to the database.
I am able to dynamically populate the control - using new bouncontol, but I have been unable to then obtain the selected data.
My codebehind is below

Forms Data Controls :: Open New Page And Call Stored Procedure?
Using VS 2008 and SQL Server 2005.
I have a Gridview control on a page (e.g. customers.aspx) which lists a sub-set of records (e.g. Customers). I also have a SELECT stored procedure which populates the fields in a Formview control on another page (e.g. custDetails.aspx), based on the ID (e.g. CustID int) that is passed to it.
I would like for the user to be able to click on the "View" linkbutton beside one of the Customer records and open up the new page with the data for that Customer populated by the stored procedure.
I have read about using a Datakey from the Gridview control but I'm not sure how that relates to the CustID and also, whether or not I could use it to pass to a stored procedure in another page. Would I need to set a global (i.e. static) variable?

Forms Data Controls :: Change Stored Procedure When Dropdown Item Is Selected And Show Repeater?
I have one repeater on page which has his own sql data source. I've placed 2 dropdown lists on the page. The repeater has jQuery DataTable plugin. With 2 dropdownlist I wish to change the sql stored procedures so when each will be selected the data in repeater will change. When user select the first there will be only data (users) according to selected item and in the second the same. I wrote 2 simple functions for changing stored procedure of repeater and rebiding it. Everything works but when I try the second one and then the first I always get warning about error "Procedure or function .... has too many arguments specified".
I think that when I select the first one the second function is still called although I don't call it.

Forms Data Controls :: Repeater Control Doesn't Bind Correctly After Editing?
I have a custom page (Page 1) in SharePoint where I have a repeater control. From Page1 I open Page2. This is where I generate a collection of object which i use to bind repeater control in Page1. For the first time everythings work fine. If I have 5 objects to bind, repeater control shows 5 elements.
Now assume, I have 5 elements in page 1. When I open page two It carried over same 5 elements. I delete 1 element and send 4 element as collection to Page 1. In page 1 after I databind the repeater control, it doesn't display correctly. It deletes the wrong element.
I debug my code. The collection which i am binding to repeater shows the correct elements. But while displaying i is not showing correctly.

Forms Data Controls :: Data Binding To Gridview From Stored Procedure?
When i bind gridview to stored procedure what i found it only shows data after enabling Autogeneratecolumns and it also doesnot show any column in boundedfield. Due to which i am unable to apply formating to individual column according to my requirement. One possible reason may be table is created in stored procedure due to which it generate fields at run time.

Forms Data Controls :: How To Use Dynamic Query Filters With A Gridview Using A Stored Procedure As A Data Source
Is it possible to use dynamic query filters with a gridview using a stored procedure as a data source? What I'm thinking of is a search page where there are multiple controls to enter in a search string and a radio button for the AND/OR query filters between the various controls. If not, what would be the best way to allow a user to select an AND / OR with a group of different query controls?
Here is the page I have created thus far using a view and no AND/OR option. I but I can't get it to work with my SP, also listed below:

Forms Data Controls :: User Entered Data Lost If FormView.UpdateItem Fails In Update Stored Procedure
I have a FormView control in update mode. The user enters data into the FormView, and then clicks a button (outside the formview) which calls FormView1.UpdateItem(False). My problem is that whilst this mostly works, sometimes the Update StoredProcedure fails (it fails correctly for data validation reasons which can only be performed on the database server). In that case, I want to retain the data the user just entered, and display an error message to the user informing her that the data just entered needs amending.
I cannot do so, as once I have called FormView1.UpdateItem, then the form data always seems to rebind at the end of the update, and all the user entered data is overwritten with the original database data now being rebound over it. The only way I can find to cancel the process is in the FormView1.Updating procedure, but this is no help and too early as I have not yet called the stored procedure. Any code I put in the sqldatasource.updating or updated event does not seem to be able to prevent the databind from occurring.

Forms Data Controls :: User Controls And Stored Procedure - Inserting Data
I called a stored Procedure from a test page to inserting some data, it works fine/perfectly. However, when I called the "very same" stored procedure from within one of my user controls nothing happens, it's not firing. (but if I remove the SP and use the default gridview settings, the data get inserted). Any thoughts you could share on that...? Do I need to do some other steps for it to working via user web controls? Both SP were called exactly the same... the test page and user control..
<asp:SqlDataSource ID="SqlDataSource1" runat="server"
ConnectionString="<%$ ConnectionStrings:myConnectionString %>"
