Forms Data Controls :: Gridview With Checkbox Columns Is Retrieving Data Off One Row?

I've created a data bound gridview to a SQL database. I am retrieving the data with a simple select for a specific date, and then populating my gridview. The one caveat is that I have added a second header row to my gridview, and then I am hiding parts of another row that was retrieved to only populate the main header row. I believe that this is causing my issue. However, when I step through the code it appears that my ids are proper (the first row has an id of 0, etc....). However, when I check the checkbox in row 4, the actual data from row 3 is being pulled out of the gridview.

I have a GridView which is databound and I added two columns which are checkboxes. There is no link between the two columns. On a check box click , I need to check to see any other check boxes on the same column checked, if so, show a javascript confirmation . If click ok, need to do postback to update the database.if cancel, no change. The goal is ,I need to make sure that only one check box is checked in a check box column.

Is it possible to first add controls (ie. CheckBoxes) to a GridView with AutoGenerateColumns set to true. Then to click a single save button which loops thru the controls in the GridView, gets their values (ie. Checked/Not Checked) and then saves those values to a database?

I have a search option which a person can use a multi select listbox. I have it coded so it would loop through to see if its selected or not. I also have a stored procedure where the sql statement is coded for the select statement. For some reason, its not populating my gridview. Where am I doing wrong? I have a GridView with a checkbox for the user to select different categories. I am trying to retrieve the CategoryID associated with each row when the user clicks next, however I keep getting an error that tells me the selected index cannot be negative or out of range.

I have an accessdatasource with multiple columns, one column I use it to populate a dropdownlist. Can I use the data from other columns to insert into a table, insert being done in the aspx.vb page, without creating gridview etc.
Is it possible to make a detailsview one column visible= false and still be able to evaluate its contents?

I have a gridview, where I set the columns based on the columns in a datatable. I have a class that implements ITemplate, and creates a textbox template field. Everything works good, I can display my grid with the correct columns and headers. The probem comes up when I click a Save button, to save the user input. Of course the page postbacks, and I re-create the columns on PageInit. However, all the data the user entered is gone.

now i have One TextBox and four radio button like 1.rbFirstName,2.rbLastName,3.rbAge,4.rbDatemy requirment is if i select radiobutton first rbFirstname and i will enter a text into textbox than ONKEYUP filter the gridview data and show only those row where data is match in first coloum"First Name" and hide the rest of rows...same required for radiobutton 2,3 and 4 respectively in gridview 2nd ,3rd and 4th coloum....i need this solution in javascript or Jquery but i dont want reload the page...

I am working with GridView, When huge amount of Data is inserted in the GridView its columns became very thin all tall, however I want to Display the Gridview with Fix size and if the Data is hugeit only display the starting few words of Data.in other words I want to use gridView same like the GMAIL account where Data Display like this. .

I mean, if I send a query to my database and it returns 1 column, then bind that column to the first column in the gridview, then send another query and bind the resulting column from that query to the second column without erasing the data of the first column etc etc.

My gridview has a dropdownlist when the user clicks "Edit". my question is: How to I retrieve the value of the cell that contains a dropdownlist (when the user clicks on "Select")?
I am able to retrieve the information from the cell that has a textbox (textbox is displayed ONLY when the user clicks on Edit). But when I try to retrieve information from any cells that has a dropdownlist (dropdownlist is displayed ONLY when the user clicks on Edit), it comes up blank.

I have a templated control embedding a checkbox in a GridView I have an event on the checkbox which has a loop that pulls ALL of the checked checkboxes and the associated value. I only want to pull the datavalue of the checkbox that I just checked but the properties/methods associated with that checkbox event are not giving me any sort of index or item.value from which to do this.

I just wrote something small up with a GridView databound to the products table of the northwind database to play around with the control. I added a template field and put a checkbox in it, ProductID, ProductName, and UnitCost. I can successfully loop through the GridView and find the rows that have the checkbox checked, and can get ProductName for each row, but keep erroring out on ProductID and UnitCost. It's probably something small, but I just cannot figure it out.Here is what I have so far:
