I have this shopping cart that i have created, It is nearly done. The only thing that is bugging me is that i can only add one item to the cart. This was working when i was using a dropdown list, now that I have added a gridview instead, it only adds one item.

Iam trying to understand why my sqldatasource control bound to gridview will not return data while i have cascading dropdownlist coded in pageload and selected events respectively?
from which sqldatasource control stored procedure obtains its parameter values.
only when i select items from second dependent dropdown does the grid display data?
how can i get selected checkbox item from grid view if the user click on the buttion , i tryied this but i dont know how to get the values from columns.
my columns are Id,FirstName.the function called from the buttion not from the gridview.

Billing Part, where The bill will be created which contains Sr.no. ,Product Id, Product name, Qty,Price,Total Price as attributes.Now I want that if any one search the product then result is shown in result part and then from the list of the products i click a product and add it in the bill list.But I am not able to understand here how to access a data from the grid view i.e. accessing Product Id,Product name, Price and add it to bill.

When user like to update the datasource he will select one row from gridview then in selected indexchanged event i would display the selected row values beneath the form under the grid , Then user will update the contents displayed from grid and click an update button which is outside the grid . After updating the displayed row , i got to get the values of the next row in the grid and display them for next updation , i'e if users maually selects row 3 from grid then he can update the values using the update button and then on update click itself i'll have to display next row contents of row 4 and this process could go on .
I have Parent/Child Grid (also called Nested Grids).
Parent Grid (PG) :: PG has two template fields. 1st template field has "Category ID" and 2nd template has Child Grid
Child Grid (CG) :: CG is populated in PG's RowDataBund event based on "Category ID". In CG's DataBound event, I am doing something which I need to display in CG's footer row.
Problem :: In the footer row of each CG, I have to show the "Category ID" which is in PG' row. How can I get hold of the PG's row which hascurrent nested grid (there will 'n' child grids, one for each 'Category ID' in the PG ) so I can read the "Category ID"

i'm currently learning .Net and i can get data out of a database and display in a listview. But how can i access data items in the code behind and format, change, concatenate...do whatever i want to them then display in the list view? Is it even possible?

Maybe an example of what i'm trying to do would be to concatenate a address from the dataset and in a variable sAddress and then attach sAddress to a label in the list view, or add to colums of the dataset together and then show in a label in the listview.

I want to create a page on which the website's sponsors are displayed. The information about the sponsors is coming from the database via an ObjectDataSource, and I'm retrieving an Image (company logo), the name of the company, and a url to the company's website. Each Image (logo) is of the same height, but of varying width. I want each Item to be formatted so that the Image is on top, and underneath is a centered hyperlink with the name of the company.
This all seems pretty straightforward ... now for my problem: I want to display as many of these on the page as possible. Essentially, start off horizontally and fit as many as possible on each row. A DataList or Repeater with RepeatDirection=Horizontal doesn't quite do what I want as I don't want to have a fixed number of columns.
Is there an easy way to achieve this, or do I have to manually add up the width of each item on an ItemDataBound event, and then somehow move to the next row when the maximum width is reached? In addition I have to deal with the fact that the width of my Item is the maximum of the Image width and the text underneath.

i have a grid view with some coulmns like Name,Phone no etc with Edit,Delete column in grid view. I click a row in grid view to Edit,it goes another page where i can edit all fields .Once i update i redirect the page to gridview. I want the grid view to remain in that particular page say 4 of the grid view
