When "Configure ListView..." in the smart tag of ListView is clicked, one can choose one of the 4 styles on the list: Colorful, Professional, etc. I am wondering if there is any way to add one's own style to the list.

I have a ListView, I've setup to use an ObjectDataSource, I've created my Layout and Item templates, and I'm able pull and view a list of my data no problem. However I want to add delete capabilities to my
ListView and my reference material tells me to go into the "Configure ListView..." option under the ListView's smart tag, the only problem is I don't have that option, the only three options in my smart tag are "Choose DataSource", "Configure DataSource..." and "Refresh Schema", what am I doing wrong?
I want to display my records in ListView. Per row must have only 3 records. I am using Mysql, The data is connected and retrieved fine. But I unable to configure it's view to "Tiled" Is it possible by using code behind or asp.net source view?

I am able to show an alert when the list view is edited in parent window like this...

but not able to show an alert when this listview is edited in Pop-up window.it shows "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Error .any idea how to show an alert here!!
I have a listview that has n rows.
Within the EditItemTemplate and InsertItemTemplate I have a cell that has a textbox and a button.
When the button is clicked a popup window is shown, where the user can upload a picture. The name of the uploaded picture is retrieved.
Now I want to send that picture name back to the textbox within the listviews EditItemTemplate or/and InsertItemTemplate (that is ofcourse one at a time depending on what the user is doing, inserting or editing a row).

Is it possible to declare custom commands within a listview control? For example, if I want to have a "Pay Now" link for each item in the listview, how would I do that?
View 2 RepliesI have a ListView that contains a lot of editable items. Every item has some values, like; item name, item price, item size and so forth. I would like to add another editable column which should be a drop down list. This should list which sizes the item is available at, like S, M, L, XL. Some item are only available in S and M, while other items may just have a standard size (meaning none of the above sizes). So for example if you are to add an item called polo shirt and its only available in sizes L and XL then you should be able to do that. And then at the front-end where the users surf the items it should be like that when a users sees this Polo shirt he should be presented with a drop down list where he is only able to select L and XL
I can't figure out how to implement this in the Listview and the database. I have mentioned that I want a drop down list to appear in the back-end, this is not a necessity, anything will do as long as the front-end is showing a drop down list with the choosen sizes.
I have two listviews. The inner listview (InnerListView1) is in the SelecttItemTemplate of the outer listview (OuterListView1). Both listviews are bind in the code behind. The outer listview displays correctly in the ItemTemplate. Neither Listview Listview displays in the SelectItemTemplate. Both should display when I click the Select button. I just get a postback (flicker). The display should include the selected record of the outer listview and the inner listview.

I've a listview with object datasource as source control.
I'm using listview events for update and delete.
on update event i.e in itemcommand==update , I'm rising a javascript event on validation.
So when this validation raises I want the listview to be edit mode on the same row.

View 2 RepliesI have a ListView that populates and displays a user's data (via a profile system in VWD 2008) during Page_Load and also when I go from the EditItemTemplate to the ItemTemplate. Then when I go to the edit screen again, my DropDownList and RadioButtonList controls display the first items in the corresponding tables instead of the correct profile values. I don't understand why the controls populate correctly the first and second times but not on the third time (that's right, the third time is NOT a charm).

I have a list box in a list view control. I want to access the value of the listbox. I have fixed the height of the list box and the box has scroll bars. If i change the number using the scrollbar and then click on the number (turning it blue) everthing works fine. If I simply change the number using the scrollbar the system throws the error below. Can anyone tell me how to get this to work simply by using the scrollbar to select the number (without having to also click on the number itself) This is the error that is thrown

but it does not work - the DataItem property of each Item of ListView has null value. The point is that I have generic list with data. I am binding this data into ListView which can be edited by user. After that after click Save or GetData data from ListView is read into generic list of MyClass type.

View 2 RepliesI have a listview that is displaying records currently based on a dropdown.. works great.. now, within those results returned, i would like to filter down some more.. How can i add a dropdownlist to the page that is populated with data from the listview(only 1 field would be used to create the list ) and if you chose to filter by that drop down, then the listview is revised to display only records with the selected value.
Example..
Currently you pick from a drop down.. Report#1, Report#2 or Report#3 Say report#1 returns 100 records.. and the field im going to be filtering on is my "Vendor" field.. so once my listview displays my results, a dropdownlist is populated with all the vendors that were returned with the query.. could just be a few..
Now you are sitting there paging thru all the records.. and realize you really just need to see out of the 100 records, records that belong to Vendor#3, so you pick #3 from the drop downlist and the procedure is called again now filtering on that vendor..
