my gridview shows multiple repeated pages for one page and I dont know from where come the problemand im treating the event of the paging well

In my Membership.aspx, I added a LoginView control. Then on the LoggedInTemplate, I typed "You are Logged in. Welcome," and a LoginName control. After testing from ASP.NET Development server and IIS server, now my LoggedInTemplate showed "You are Logged in. Welcome," several times before displayed only one LoginName/UserName. Why? Something wrong when testing in the ASP.NET Development environment or IIS server configuration?

I have created a website that has some gridview controls that call stored procedures in a SQL db and display the results of the procedures. Two of the gridview controls have sorting enabled, and one has pagination enabled.
The site loads for all users who have tried it so far.
However, one user gets a "webpage not found" (HTTP 400 Bad request) error whenever they click on the pagination links or sorting links on the gridview control. It seems like it's not a security issue because the website runs as a user with permission to the database.
I have the following questions regarding pagination in a gridview.. First as a beginner i used default pagination for all my gridviews..
After checking out some articles on performance they all focus on custom pagination...
Is it a bad practice to use default pagination of a gridview? When to use custom pagination over default pagination in a gridview?

My application I am using pagination.Using pagination i bind the records with listview control.
I generate the buttons dynamically according to the number of pages which is calculated from number of records returned from dataSource.when i click on a dynamically generated button its corresponding event handlers methods should get evaluated.Since asp.net page is stateless I can't keep the state of that dynamic controls after any postback.
Just Now I have seen the Article "How to get the Id of Control that cause postback in asp.net?". I got some idea from that article. Any example for "Creating link buttons dynamically and handling its corresponding event handler in Asp.Net".

I have developed an application using Visual Studio 2008. I have a hirerchical gridview and on every row i have a "Payment" button which actually inserts a payment entry in database. Here is the sample screen of that gridview so u have an idea what i am doing. Problem is that whenever user pressed the button of "PAYMENT" it is inserting multiple records in database..it should only fire once and i am failed to understand why its firing multiple times.
