In the datapager, is there any way to hide the page number when the resultset is less than the pagesize. The number '1' is printed and it just looks like an orphan. I only want to show page numbers when the result set is larger than the pagesize

Question: I now see a update column at the start of each row of the datagrid for AllProducts page. When I click update on a row and change the value of one of the non-primary fields (ex. Productname) and press Update, I get the following error:
The GridView 'GridView1' fired event RowUpdating which wasn't handled. How do I implement this event handler in VB? I know that when I implement using SQLConnection and use templatefields to bind each column I don't need to implement each event handler.
I'm trying to upload files to Amazon. In their simple example, it's an HTML page with a bunch of hidden fields that pass the data needed. The problem is when I create that form in ASP.NET, I, inevitably, end up with a few extra hidden fields i.e. __VIEWSTATE and __VIEWSTATEENCRYPTED at the very least -- and that after setting EnableViewState to false on the page. No matter what I do, these two hidden fields are there. I've read some articles that indicate that I have no way of removing them from the page unless I can remove the <form runat="server"> all together.
I can imagine what the answer will be but I have to ask: is there a way to remove the form tag from an aspx page?
I assume the answer will be "No". Then my follow up question is: how am I going to upload a file to Amazon S3 using an aspx page?
Now, some may suggest that I should use a simple HTML page. Then my issue would be this: there are a whole bunch of parameters I need to get by making an API call first -- they're the ones that end up in those hidden fields. How can I upload my files without losing this server side functionality that I need in order to make the API call?

I am using Eval inside a datalist to populate a hyperlink within the datalist with a navigateURL value and I am using it as follows:

The issue I am facing is that the current page URL is getting appended to the 'LinkAddress'(the URL being fetched from the database) and thus,the final URL formed is not a valid one.Can someone suggest how do I remove the current page URL? Is there any way it can be done without writing code in the code behind page?

I am trying to use the Page class that exposes a property named PreviousPage from my User Control.
I have a web form called default.aspx which has a form with user information. In addition to this, I have an iFrame on the same page that displays a page Secondary-Form.aspx that has a few additional dynamic data fields. I need to do two things.
1. I need to pass the parent form data in real time to the iFrame page to refresh its content and modify it's fields accordingly. Example: If the user submits their Vehicle Choice as Car on parent form, the form item in iFrame will display a radio button that says Honda, and if the user submits their Vehicle Choice as MotorCycle in the parent page, the iFrame will display Harley Davidson as the radio button choice
2. The submit button is on the parent page. I want both pieces of this information (from the parent page, as well as iFrame selection) to be passed to a server side ASPX page to process this information.the default.aspx and Secondary-Form.aspx files are located on different domains.
What is the right approach when users (authenticated domain admins) should be able to start batch jobs (usually exe files) from an IIS (7.x) aspx (c#) page? This is an intranet site. The batch jobs have to run on the web server as Domain Admins. The website pool is executed by network service or some similar restricted account in AD.
Approaches I can think of (and their disadvantages):
1. Start exe file with System.Diagnostics.Process.Start with another account. This feature is disabled in IIS 7.x, how do I allow it?
2. Create a sheduled task and call scheduled task-api. This unmanaged dll is giving VS compiler warnings because it's unsafe to call from managed code.
3. I suppose there's a better approach, because the previous suggestions doesn't appear safe or robust.

I have a Web User Control that is sitting in a Tabcontainer on a web page. The user control is on tab 1 and has a listview control in it. In the listview control I have a textbox called txtWorkOrderID. In tab 2 I have a gridview with a button in one of the columns. When the button is clicked I want to grab the ID from the row I'm on and fill the txtWorkOrderID with it on tab 1. I've got things to work as far as grabing the ID and switching back to tab 1, but I keep getting a null reference when I try to put the value into the txtWorkOrderID which tells me its not finding the control. Clicking any button (1 or 2) below works correct as it goes to the correct c# button click event in the code behind file. If I press enter on fields a or b it goes to the correct callback (button1's) if I press enter on field c it still goes to button1's callback, not button2's

I know that the datagrid control loops through a database table from the first row to the last, but I want it to loop from the last row to the first. How can I do that? When you create a new website/web application with webforms, I've noticed that the start page is always Default.aspx, but can't find where this is specified (e.g. in the config files, etc), or if it is part of the web forms specification.
Is it possible to change the startup page so that it isn't Default.aspx? If so, how do you do it?
I have a web page where I only want controls to appear under certiain conditions. I know I can set the visible property to false but it still takes up space on my page, and I would like to take it out completely. Is there a setting to do this? I have tried Controls.Remove(Button1); but this code doesn't seem to work.
