I'm using the RowFilter within the gridview to filter out the grid. It works pretty good however, if a user enters in more than one value and hits search it seems to work like a "OR" instead of a "AND". Or it will display all values satisfying both rowfilters.
[Code]....
The code is pretty simple you have a group of textboxes and dropdown boxes in the front. When a user enters in the specifics and hits search it falls through each if statement until one is staisfies and sets the gridview....

I got this error message when I use rowfilter
Line: 938 Error: Sys.WebForms.PageRequestManagerServerErrorException: Cannot perform '=' operation on System.Int32 and System.String.
My code is like this
[Code]....
When I check only string, it's okay
But I have to check string and int because some columns are only Integer such as LLMS_Id, Risk, RsidualRisk

I had an excel data I converted to an access database. I did some vba to insert vbcrlf's into the excel and re-converted the data to access. It seems as if it did convert over until I printed on screen cell contents into a message box.So, I'm 100% sure my data has the cr & lf's but in my asp.net application's listview control they are not being rendered. I used easyfrom to convert from access to mysql.The application works fine except all the data is clumped together.

In a formview I need to present a new value calucalted by dividing one field value by another. I need to present the result to one decimal place. The code I am using is the following, however it presents the resulting value rounded up or down to the nearest whole value:
<asp:label id=lblTotal text='<%# Convert.ToInt32(Eval("Value1")) / Convert.ToInt32(Eval("value2")) %>' runat="server"></asp:label>
I did try and insert refernces to {0:N1} but this just threw asp.net errors. Any advise on how I can guarantee that the value calculated is presented to one decimal place?

so I have 3 series that are created from Cross Table Data Bind. Unfortunately some of the points are missing. Is there an algorithm I can use to cycle through the datapoints for each series and insert empty points to the correct spots so that my data is displayed correctly?

I have a databound TreeView on an aspx content page. I selected the News ImageSet collection for this control. When I render the control locally, the images appear fine. Deployed on the same machine (yes I know I probably shouldn't develop on the server, but it's my server) the images are all broken. I removed the ImageSet attribute and it still rendered with broken links.
The environment is Windows XP SP 3, ASP.NET 4.0. Any reason why the the WebResource.axd would suddenly break outside of the Contoso world?

I've programmatically generated an ASP.NET Table that is then added to a page. There is also a Button on the same page where a user can export the Table data into Excel. Very standard stuff. The data that is displayed on the page is correct but after exporting 10 rows are missing. I've checked encoding. I've compared character input: nothing unusual. Has anyone ran into this before?Here's the export code (see comment at the table...)
protected void btnExport_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
string attachment = "attachment; filename=Abstracts.xls";

So I have a dropdownlist and I'm trying to populate it with values in the database. For some reason, half of the rows has no value. It's happenning in a sequence as well, like the first row has no value, then the second row has value, then the third hasno value....
Does any one know why it does this?

Im not sure what i could have done wrong here but i created a dataset (ran a query and it returns the correct data) - created my BLL class - bound the ObjectDataSource to the control using the BLL - ran the site and all the data is showing as expected. Now i click edit columns (from DetailsView smart tag) and the selected fields are empty. I refresh the schema and this makes no difference. What could i be doing wrong?

I have a Gridview which is populated from an ObjectDataSource. Data Source has a control parameter hooked up to the SelectedDataKey value of the GridView. My Gridview has rows which may not have a DataKey. I am receiving an error when a GridView row without a DataKey is selected.

Whenever I try to export a ListView with formatting or dynamic content in the PreRender event to an Excel file, I lose all of the changes from the PreRender event. Here's the ListView code:
<asp:ListView ID="ListView1" DataSourceID="profileData" runat="server" DataKeyNames="ROW_NUM">
<LayoutTemplate>
<table cellspacing="0">
<thead>
[Code]....
I've done some reading and found that RenderControl possibly ignores anything in PreRender for a control, but I'm thinking there has to be a way to get those PreRender changes in there before extracting the ListView to Excel.
The only workaround I've found so far is to copy and paste all of my preRender code into the Page_Load, and then everything looks fine in Excel. However, then I have to duplicate my code, as I still need it in the preRender event to display it on the screen properly. I don't want to maintain the code twice.

I am filtering dataview using my Date Column but the result is not proper because the Field value also stores time, so I want to convert this Date Field to only Date during Filter. How can I achieve this? Here is my code. And the actual value I am getting in the Dataset Field "CreationDate" is a DateTime field which is like
2010-01-21 14:35:25.203
2010-01-22 12:55:18.033
2010-01-26 12:10:06.990
But I only want to neglet time value and want to compare Date only.

I have the following code which doesn't seem to work. In the Page_Load function I populate the DataSet and display the results in a grid view.
newsCommand = new SqlCommand("SQL code here", dbConnection);
newsDataSet = new DataSet();
newsDataAdapter = new SqlDataAdapter(newsCommand);
newsDataAdapter.SelectCommand = newsCommand;
newsDataAdapter.Fill(newsDataSet, "Bulletins");
[Code]....
Yet the gridview shows the data it orignally loaded, and not the filtered data. The only thing I can think of is that I'm not using the DataTable in the Page_Load function.
