Forms Data Controls :: Search And Display Data Into Repeater And Navigate To Details Page Passing Value ID?

I have two tables: Book and author and they have one to many relation.One book may have more than one authors. Book table has Title column and Author table has AuthorName Column.
I have search page contains two textboxes: Title Textbox and AuthorName textbox to search the record.
When the user type something and hit the search button it display the Title when click the title ; it redirect to detailsPage.aspx Passing value ID.

Then in the Details page there are: Title, authors and other more from these table column.
My problem is:
When the user search and hit the search button, it display the number of matches Title only. I want to display authors related to this title in this page and other are same(when click the title go to detailspage.aspx)
How can I display the related Authors to each title in search display page (Not in details page, I know in details page) ?
If user search "The Letters and life" in the Title textbox and hit enter data should looks like:
1. Author: Payne Paddy, sed ran, der virma and Caroline Barron.
Title: The Letters and Life of Elizabeth Despenser, Lady Zouche (d. 1408) [her letters and will provide a glimpse of her personal
2. Author: ayne manu, edd saan and fer wertu.

i have a gridview of name "PRODUCTS"
now i want to add a link button , on cllicking that link button a new page in other tab will open with that Product Name and ID , then i want to read that product name and id and fetch records according to it ...
e.g:
PRODUCTS PAGE :
GRIDVIEW :
ID | Name | Detail
1 | Apple | DETAIL
2 | Banana | DETAIL
now when a user click on DETAIL row in apple , in new tab a page called DETAIL will be open and it would show URL like this :
http://localhost/ABC/DETAIL.aspx/ASDESX9023
the reason behind ASDESX9023 is : i dont wanna show the actual project name and id here ...
then after recieving this URL ;
below in my data list which is residing in DETAIL Page , the records must get fetched according to this URL ..

We do have a search page for customers which returns a list of data from a table.
Once we select on an item it should redirect to another page with customerId as a querystring parameter..
Now the problem is we have to save all the customerIds and need to send them to display page..and need to select next one once they done with previous one without going to the search page again..
Example:
if they got 10 customers in the search page then we need to send all 10 ids to display page by starting display of firstone and once they select next button on display page they have to move on to the next cutomer from that list..if they reached the end of list they have to start again from the first...we need to avoid the user going to the search page for each customer every time...

'm using a textbox to get the first 5 letters of the name.
An sqldatasource then finds the people who have names > than the five letters and picks up their ID numbers as well as their names.
After that I use a second sqldatasource to get one individual from that dropdownlist's persons name and id number and then using a detailsview I display that person.
Well both sqldatasouces work fine but it just does not pass the ID number when I debug it.

I have a gridview which has paging enabled in it.
In my gridview I have a button which adds a new row to the grid. The problem i am having is that when the user clicks this add row button, it needs to go to the last page and add a new row there.
At the moment when I click the button i get an error saying - Index was out of range.
I'm sure this is because the method i am using doesn't know how to get to the last page... it needs to do this no matter what page the user is on
The method i use to add a new row is as follows: how i can adapt it to recognise the last page and row position in the gridview?

I have a many to many table in my database called PeopleLanguage
PeopleId, pk and Languags pk each go to the own table People and Language
I know make a method call with my objectdatasource GetPeopleByLanguageId
This returns the languages that the selected person speaks and has a select
query also to lanaguageTable to get LanguageName.
I now print out the results in a datalist that is binding to LanguageName.
What i want to do is show the languages in a horizontal format with a comma after each one.
At the moment if there are 3 languages it shows each one on a seperate line / if I make it horizontal
layout I still dont get a comma. Perhaps I can use a repeater?

I am collecting user roles into a single dimension string array.
I have a repeater that its source set to that array. The repeater template includes list of checkboxes for the values in the array.The checkbox text is set to: Text='<%# Container.DataItem %>'
All is good till this point.
But I am trying to call a javascript function triggered by clickign a checkbox and pass it the container.dataitem, but the javascript doesn't seem to be reading the value and either complain about string not being in correct format or that treats the container.dataitem as a liter. This is the trial that didn't work (I tried many different things too):
DetermineVal(<%# DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem) %>);
determineval is my javascript function
Can I do that with a single dimension array?

I have a GridView with a select button. It get the data from a SQL database and everything is working fine. I'm new with ASP. I'm using a Data Set for the project. When the users select a row I need to show details of each row in a hidden panel with a table and labels to each field of the rows. The data of the details to show are in different tables. I already made the QUERIES with the JOIN to the different tables.
I was trying to fill the grid view with the specific query and fill the hidden panel at the same time so when the user click select the hidden panel appear with the data of the selected row. I put the hidden panel inside the grid view with a TemplateField and a ItemTemplate, but it doesn't work.
