I have a dataset and i want to add a image in the dataset.
If i am listing office, airport i need to display the corresponding image before the data. I am using the webservice to get the data .
i have dataset containing multiple images in binary format,how i can use handler to display those images from dataset which i am having,without needing to pass id in query string to handler each time?

Our application needs to display a series of fees charged against an account column which will be either less then 500, 500 to 1000 or >1000. Some of those fees are charged at a full rate, others at a partial rate, and some are not charged at all. The user would like to see a simple 3-state graphic which would convey the simple info: full-charge, partial-charge, or no-charge. Sounds easy enough but I've not yet managed to find a way to do this. Every time I attempt to modify the individual cell's graphic it seems to want to change the graphic for all the rows.

I'm using a repeater to list all the products, which works fine for all the labels I use but not for the image location. I'm using something like this, but it doesn't work:

I'm using varbinarymax.....IN SQL gridview image and setting the nullimage value doesn't this problem.. I'm looking for code that can make this lil miracle happen
& it doesn't really matter which way , whether the code says if image null then display this image from ~/Images/thispic.jpg or if i1 display this image from ~/Images/thispic.jpg for a little bit more insight into this I'm creating a legend for the database and the null has been used for displaying one pic so i'm after the 1 or visa versa to display another image.... and i'm not trying to upload pics to 1000 plus documents, and when i came at it from a sql angle tying 5 tables together the parent table ended up not sending the proper return. is this even possible or am i ahead of visual studio
I am retrieving data from a web serivce and storing the data into a dataset.
I'm then populating a gridview with the data from the dataset.
Before each row of data is displayed on the website, I need to check and make sure the user has proper permissions to view that data.
Can this be done with a gridview(or any other .NET data control)?
Or would I need to loop through the data manually, and then write each row out manually?
how can i store image into database and view it in grid view?
View 3 RepliesI have a page which displays details and a pictures of employees. The details are stored in a SQL database and the images are on the server. How can I set a default Image to display (e.g. an Image saying "Awaiting Image") if an employee picture is missing?
I can't use NullImageUrl as the Images are not stored in the database. I can't use the solution found on [URL] as an ImageField does not accept an ID attribute.

1.Should I be able to just open the Image handler and see the image...if so then I think my problem is in it because all I see is a blank screen.
2. Is image/png a legitimate image type? The file is a .png file but I have found no information that this is a image type.
3. Not sure I have the IMAGEURL coded correctly.
I have hardcoded my variables in the image handler just to test.
I am attaching an image to a listview from code behind, the image depends on a value from the database and there are 5 different images.It sometimes works fine and then will randomly come up with an error, when nothing has changed, the error is:[Code]....

In my project I work with Entity Framework (LINQ to ENTITY). I only have ADO.NET Entity Data Model and a DAL (Data Access Layer). I also get the data due a WCFClientService. I have a gridview that needed to be exported in Excel.
FlexCel is a tool for generating Excel files based on a template. The only thing I see in demo's is that they work with DataSets.
Is there a way to convert the data in my gridview to a virtual DataSet?

I am using visual web developer express 2010 and have two dropdownlists which are feeding parameters to my detailsview. both are set to appenddatabound "true" because I have added a % value texted " select all" to them. Now, before I added the 'select all' options I was able to configure my detailsview dataset query to bring over data using the AND statement which meant that the two buttons when placed on the same page brought over values to my detailsview where both criteria were present but when I try this when the wildcards are used with the select all option in the dropdownlists the same does not apply.
