Forms Data Controls :: Can't Refresh Image In ModalPopup

I have a page where the following code works to refresh an updated image, but it won't work in another page. (The Util.FindChild is an enhanced FindControl that I use.) I'm sure it has to do with the ModalPopupExtender not closing but I don't know what to do about it. I also use a ModalPopupExtender on the other page and it works--in fact, both are virtually identical since they both originate from the same user control.
I've a parent page with a long form. I am opening ajax modal popup extender on the click of a radio button.

In child.aspx, I've another long form. When the submit button is clicked, I am doing some processing, after that need to close the modal popup window and refresh my parent page, without disturbing the values already entered in the parent page.

My questions are
1. How do close the modal popup?
2. How I do refresh the parent.aspx without disturbing existing values? My browser is IE, no firefox since it's in intranet.
I have a problem when I try to pass in paramaters for a report in my report viewer. I have set up the ObjectDataSource and set the paramaters for 3 text boxes that are on the page. The only way I have found to set the paramaters for the report is the user must fill in the paramaters and hit the refresh button on the Report Viewer toolbar ,but I would like to have the user click a asp.net button insted. Is there anyway to call the refresh method from codebehind?
my problem is related with modalpopup control. i made a login control using it.

This works fine. Problem is this. When i click btniptal and then i refresh the page modal shows again. But When i click btngiris and then i refresh the page modal doesn't show. When clicking the btniptal button, the modalpopup should not show.If i make this codes in aspx page everything is ok. But i make this in usercontrol.
What am i missing or doing wrong to accomplish this. I want to set the values of my labels within my modalpopup with the values of the item clicked on within my gridview. Here is my RowDataBound code, im sure i have to do this somewhere else, but you will see the 2 labels im trying to set. When they click on ibHT image button a modalpopup opens and works great, but the labels are always set to the first record in the gridview.

I have an issue with gridview and ascx's inside. Into the item template I'm dynamically loading ascx files depending on the row hiddenfield value. Ascx control is then "opened" in panel with modalpopup extender. The issue is ascx control with ceratin programming logic behind does not postback in this scenario.

i need to create a photogallery page where the thumbnail images are placed and when the user clicks on the image the original image should be displayed in the modalpopup. it should also display the progress bar within the modalpopup before the original image gets loaded completely. i have seperate folders for thumbnail as well as original image.
I have a table on my page. I need to scroll down a little to get to that table. In that table i have som data that i edit and save to database. When the save is done i need to refresh the page( Response.Redirect(Request.RawUrl )) so it loads the new data to that table. When the refresh is done the page is on top again so that i need to scroll down again to see the table. This makes it very unusable for the user.

how to refresh a image control to pick up the latest on a asp.net page. The problem is that i am not able to get the latest image on the page, it keeps showing the old page. But when i hit the refresh button on the toolbar it correctly gets the latest image and displays it in the control.
I am trying to enable server side code to check my session varible but my itemcommand is not being executed because my modalpopup is client click.Each template is loading the iframe which is horible performance killer. How do I get it to load the iframe on LinkButton click only once?

I have a gridview in a web page that shows some data from a table; in the same page I have a button that onClick executes a SQL Server job (the job has 9 steps and it takes around 20 seconds to execute).
How do I modify my code so that the page is smart enough to wait until the job is executed and refresh the gridview with the new data? Currently this is what I have:

The last method (GridView1_RowDataBound ...) is for having the background to red if some condition occurs. Right now, after clicking ImageButton0, there is an instant postback and the gridview is not updated
I am using an ObjectDataSource in my FormView for INSERT.
Data inserts correctly to my backend SQL table, however as i am posting back a success/fail message to the same page, i have noticed that after a successful INSERT if it hit the Refresh button the INSERT is doubled up.
How can i stop a user pressing the Refresh button and doubling the INSERT?
Is there a setting somewhere or can i stop this programmatically within my ObjectDataSource_Inserting method perhaps?
Just wondering if anyone has ever managed to find a way to have a datagridview image button column in a template field which display different images on different rows depending on some data element in the row. Our application needs to display a series of fees charged against an account column which will be either less then 500, 500 to 1000 or >1000. Some of those fees are charged at a full rate, others at a partial rate, and some are not charged at all. The user would like to see a simple 3-state graphic which would convey the simple info: full-charge, partial-charge, or no-charge. Sounds easy enough but I've not yet managed to find a way to do this. Every time I attempt to modify the individual cell's graphic it seems to want to change the graphic for all the rows.
I'm not even sure if this is the correct approach for this -

I have a gridview that has allowPaging and AllowSorting set to true. It is bound to a sqldatasource with the selectCommand firing a sql query. The sqldatasource has EnableCaching = true, and caching duration = "60". The idea is to run the paging, sorting, etc from the cache.
A separate dataUpdate event updates the data that is being loaded in the grid view, but I am not able to see the change in the gridview data till 30 seconds (caching duration) .
What is the best way to force refresh the gridview data by the dataUpdate event?
I came across this artice that tells to use CacheKeyDependency, but when I implemented it, the gridview gets refreshed at every dataUpdate event, but also the paging and sorting fires the sqldatasource Selectcommand sql query. I want this query to be fired only on dataUpdate.
I am trying to change the image url of an image button in my gridview. I cannot seem to be able to do this in the code behind. Is there a way I can do this through the image buttons controls?
i have an image and an imagebutton, they are inside a listview and get their imageurl from databinding, i would like to know, if maybe the databinding value is empty, instead of showing a big red x, is there anyway to maybe make it link to a default image when the value is empty instead?
I am new to .NEt, I am doing a classifieds website and tried to save the image in server,in a seperate folder and stored that address in MS access databse.when I wanted to display that image in a gridview,its not showing the image.
In the seperate column when Ia m trying to see the image location using bound field,its displaying C:websitesAzangouser_images j.jpg, but where as its not showing the image in the item template field.
I know this might sound like a simple quesiton, but I am having problems allowing me to upload images along with other information (name, image, biography, wbsite links) to a sql server database, as well as showing images from the database using a drop list control feature. I am using [URL] for hosintg. VB language.
