Forms Data Controls :: Checkboxlist Not Declared In Script Section?

I have this peace of code that collects data from checkbox list and concatenates it into a string. It worked fine on lots of pages then i added it to a page that uses a formview update template, and now the name of the checkbox (CategoryList) list comes up as not declared in the script header. Do i need to change the protected sub line to show items in the form view?

I have a Master Page which controls the styling of my site. In the Code Behind, there are a few class instances instantiated as well as variables. These classes validate user access and then create user objects
I have a few Web Content Forms which carries out instructions based on the user objects. So far it seems that on each Web Content Form I have to create new instances of the classes found on the Master Page. This is doubling my work for every Web Content Form.
Is there anyway I can inhereit Classes and objects instantiated in the Master Page Code Behind?

I am trying to create a forgot password section within my login section and it doesnt seem to work.

My web application works if I don't compile it, when I compile, it gives me this nasty error and I am clueless to what I did wrong?
Here is the error: No where in my line 113 has any Eval nor my entire page has any Eval, I used Bind so what is going on? the strange thing is if I leave the page as is with out Publish web site option the same page works perfectly fine.

I am just getting back into asp.net programming and have gotten stuck on something I suspect is probably not too hard to fix but I can't seem to figure it out. I have a gridview which works fine and have added in subheaders to divide up the content as it's sorted by currency. But I need to insert a row at the bottom of each section that gives a balance determined from a seperate query. Initially I used the same logic as the header so when a currency changed it would insert a total row which works fine except it doesn't do a total row for the last section. I tried using if (e.Row.RowIndex = transactionData.Rows.Count) to determine the last row but those are the same throughout so it puts a total row under every row. Is the problem that I'm trying to do this inside RowDataBound? All I think I need to do is be able to tell when the current gridview row is the last one and then insert a row at the bottom. The code I already have puts in the other total rows.

I had problems with using the gridview. For example I can bind or a a row of data to the gidview but the column data in the details section does not line up appropriately as far as justification with the grid view headers. I have tried different alignment combinations but that does not work.

I'm trying to change one section in code from DataGrid format to GridView format. The reasoning is that the sample application that was displayed was using a DataGrid even though it should have been using a Gridview for 2.0 and above. Most of it shows up without an error except one line in 3 lines which are pretty much the same. I bolded them and just want to know how do I re-write them for the Gridview?

I have gridview with div tag, i have put div tag becouse when user scroll in grid i dont want move grid header section. Its remaining ther and only move data section. Its working fine.
But my datagrid has facility to master details hiearchy of data, When user click one of button its expand details record of that particular parent item.
When user click expand button my gridview header section jump to top of page. How can i stop it

I have developed a news blog . I would like to add a Comment section with spam prevention capabilities into my news.My Comment table is as followsComment - CommentID,Name,DateStamp,Comments and NewsItemID as a foreign keyI'm having problem in identifying a logic . I have gridview template field with 5 columns like First Name, Middle Name, P.No and Last Name. The grid has a list of people with a blank row at the bottom of the grid (in the footer) that allows the user to add a newperson to the list. I have added textbox under fotter template. i need to add associated control id for footer template text box.I have been asked to make the grid section 508 compliant. The requirement is that the column headers must have labels that referencethe text boxes in the footer row. On a normal web form it would look like this:

This allows a text reader to figure out that the words "First Name" are associated with the text box "txtFirstName" and helps a blind personunderstand how to fill out the form.Now, back to my problem. I need to figure out a way to get the header of a Grid view template column to work the same way. The biggest problem is that I have no idea what the ClientID of the textbox will be.

Need a little guidance on handling selected items in a listview and sessions.
First, the CheckBoxList looks like this:

In the code behind for that page, I'm trying to put the store the selected values into the session like this:

Finally, I want to retrieve the items and wind up with a string containing the items (I think I want a string--what I need to do is put the items into a variable so I can display them in a Label control and also include them in the text of an email that gets generated. Here is how I'm attempting to retrieve the items:

But my variable "Opportunities" ends up with this value: "System.Web.UI.WebControls.ListItemCollection".

Page 1: To add a record in to DB. At this page, as per the user requests , few controls will be added to the page from server side code. one of them is checkbox list. and when user is requesting to save data, its going to the DB. Everything is fine upto now.
Page 2: To edit the record which is entered from page no 1. When user requests to edit the record entered at page no 1, i'm redirecting user to this update page, with record id, and generating the required controls to show the values. Now the main problem is :
When page is loading first time, I m creating the required controls and then assigning the values to them to edit. but after that at each postback, the value of datasource of checkboxlist is becoming null, same case is with the label control. but the value of textbox is same, it is not becoming empty at each postback. In code: In code i have created two method to generate controls.
1st is : to create new controls, and to assign values to them
2nd is : to regenerate the controls at each postback, with the same IDs, but not assigning any value here.
I think viewstate will reload the values of respective controls, if IDs are same.

I want to show a checkbocklist bound to a datasource. The datasource is a table with 2 columns. Column1 = description of the checkbox, Column2 = a true/false whether the box is checked or not.
I am able to create the checkboxlist control and bind it to the table but the checkmarks are not showing for values that are true.

I have a FormView which will bind values from the database using a ID parameter from queryString. In my database, I have a field named CategoryList which can store multiple CategoryID (From Category table) in CSV format (eg: "1,3,4,5"). I'm using SQLDataSource as my datasource.
So, I want to show the selected category in CheckBoxList. Meaning that, the checkbox will be checked (on page load) if its ID is in the CategoryList. Also, I want to allow the user to check/uncheck the CheckBoxList and updates to the database in CSV format. How can i do that?
