I have dropdownlists inside a repeater. I would like to do something like this but can't figure out the syntax:

I'm not sure if the JQuery implementation will be as simple as this, or the approach will be a little different?

3 nested dropdownlists SELECTing from DB. So i select the brand, then i select the model and then i select the product and click on SEARCH button.
But when i select thebrand, and then the model, and if i want to change the brand, it does not reset the second and third dropdownlists.

I have set the EnableViewState property to false, but when I click on the button the value in the textbox persists after the postback. Why does the value persist?
is it possible to disable sorting on specific columns? 5 out of 7 columns have to be sortable, two not sortable. The columns are created dynamically in code behind, so I think doing this with mark up is out of the question. When I say disabled, I'm hoping that the underline wont show on the column header when you mouse over it.

In this field I have a RequiredFieldValidator validation only. Unfortunately, after any PostBack if the content of any of the fields includes HTML tags or any other potentially dangerous code - the entire ViewState is cleaned.Setting ValidateRequest to false does not help. But I want to prevent users from selecting dates after a particular date say for example-after 13th October 2013, all the dates should be disabled.
I replaced this line

with
var c = (new Date("October 13, 2013 11:00:00")).setHours(0,0,0,0);
in the javascript file(Extension.min.js).
But still it was disabling dates other than today.

The #DataBinder.Eval(Container.DataItem, "DISABLE") is being set to the string value of "true" on the code behind yet when the code is ran, I recieve a InvalidCastException error.
I have buttons contained within a repeater. A ModalPopupExtender is used to confirm event for each button. I create standard panels outside of the repeater and I attach each button in the repeater to these panels from inside the repeater. The problem is once the button is pressed in the popup I can't figure out how to determine which row of the repeater to edit as I can't figure out how to identify which button was pressed.Panel:

Currently we have a collection of items being bound to a repeater and if the item is not part of the current language, we hide the item.
I'm wanting to be able to do a count on the repeater and get a valid number back. A count that doesn't also include the hidden items.
Is it possible to de-bind specific items perhaps in the ItemDataBound event?

For each item in the collection we're binding, we check the database during the ItemDataBound for further information about the item, such as language etc. This is currently stopping us from filtering the bound data before binding it.

View 1 RepliesI have a rad grid, i have bounded the columns in the grid using GripBoundColumns which shows me dropdown cloumns when i edit the record, Insert/update/delete are working fine for me.
My question is it possible to insert new data into the column(Not the whole record just only to one column) when i edit the record.
For example...
suppose i have 5 columns (Client Name, Account No, Account name, account status, Custodian Dealer) CustodianDealer is my drop down coloumn and data for it comes from different table when i edit or insert a new record in the grid, i can select the existing Custodiandealers in the table.

I'm having trouble managing how to call upon databind from clicking on a row over an already populated repeater that will populate data regarding the row clicked TO another repeater on the same page.
I've succeeded doing that with postback, calling a jquery click event of that row, taking the data of the specific row and passing it onto a "Querystring" and after postpack, it will be pushed into a Session which the ObjectDataSource of the secondary repeater will recognize and populate the data tables accordingly.
The problem is, I must do it without a postback or in other words purely on client side.

View 5 RepliesI have a grid control where i am binding list of stickers. On the above of grid , that is out side grid i have two buttons Create Sticker and Void Sticker. Sticker basically have three properties Active , Void and Expired displayed as text in column. There is condition of adding only one sticker at a time. Also if there is an active sticker then user cannot add another sticker until and unless its is expired or void.
So what i want is that whenever my grid is loaded if there is an column with text active the the create / add sticker will get disabled and void will get enabled. I am using the folloing code
