I have a pdf template and I would like to add data/text into it from my ASP.NET MVC application. Would anyone be able to guide me in a direction of how to do it and what library would be best for this

I want to insert data in sql server from sheet within excelsheet ,there are three sheets in the file which i want to upload in three different tables,currently i am doing by selecting an individual sheet and the table to upload thus doing it three times for three sheets can i do it in one go,like passing all the sheets to a function or something like that or how can i do it in a better way and also i cannot directly upload sheet into table as i have to map one column of excel to different table of database to get its value like i need statecode but statename is provided in the sheet so i map statecode to statename in a staging table and then i upload the data...

What's happening is when I try to upload a file, it tells me that everything is fine but when I look in my database, there is no data there. What am I missing? This worked before but we had to move this to another directory on the server and after we did that, the bulk insert function seems to be broken, though the server isn't returning any kinds of errors.

We moved to a new SQL server and I started getting an error on one of my sps only when I ran it from a website. If I manually ran the sp it worked fine. The error I got was this System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: OLE DB provider 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' cannot be used for distributed queries because the provider is configured to run in single-threaded apartment mode. I can tell you that this sp does some things, then calls another sp which writes some sql to open an excel file and insert the data. Here is the pseudo

View 3 RepliesIn my detailsview, I have an emptydatatemplate set up to allow users to enter new records. The code works. However, once the record is inserted, the detailsview defaults to a standard insert screen. I know this will cause confusion for the users. I would prefer the detailsview to either show in edit mode or a read-only mode. I have used detailsview.changemode and detailsview.currentmode in the custom sub created for the add new button of the emptydatatemplate- neither of which do what I was hoping. It would be even better if when there was no data, it defaulted to the insert screen (which seems like that should be an easy, no-brainer way for .net to function) but it doesn't. Or, I don't know how to accomplish it.
I don't want to force the user to click cancel after inserting an item through the emptydatatemplate just to be able to use the detailsview for other records.
