Make Paging In Chunks Of A Max Of 10 Page Numbers Being Displayed At A Time

So I have a repeater which binds page numbers. That's all fine. I need to know how to make the paging so that they are in "chunks" of a max of 10 page numbers being displayed at a time.Then if they select a page number, it will show the previous x pages and the next y pages (within the 10 chunk range). similar to google paging I guess. Not using pagedDataSource/gridview/gridlist! This is just purely getting the page numbers.
I have a gridview with a pager. The pager displays blocks of 10 page numbers (1...10, 11...20 etc.).
What I'm trying to achieve is that when the user clicks on a page number, the numbers in the pager will re-align so that the selected page will be in the middle of the list. For example: If a user selects page 10, the numbers in the pager will be:
6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15
Currently, it displays:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 ...
And the only way for the user to reach page 11 is to click on the 3 dots (...).
I would like to to make a UI with a panel of numbers, and when hovered above one of them ten the number becomes larger. something like that:

I want that when I press a numbers it shows it's value in some other textbox. In which .NET technology is it possible to do it? Windows Forms? WPF? other?
I am trying to create a Question Bank application for one of our clients. What is the main challenge I am facing is a typical demand from the client. What they want is : Whenever users open this site a set of random numbers(range say 1 to 20) should be generated and questions with the QuestionID(column in a table in Database) according to the numbers would be displayed in the page. I have done it to some extent but, still not satisfied with it.

i have a web aplication in asp.net 2.0. i have configured it using IIS when i am trying to access the webpage even thr' the IIS , the page is not getting displayed.there is no error msg nor any msg , but nothing appears even for a very long timethe webapplication was wrking fine 2 days back

I'm wanting to insert some javascript in the body of a page using ClientScript.Register..() when a user returns to it (either by back button or on link click). When I use the back button the inline server script is never hit in debug. Any way to get the server to evaluate the code every single time the user is directed to that page.
When we set allowpaging=true and specify the pagesize=xx, and when we change the page of the gird view then, does paging in gridview make a database call when its page gets changed ?
I do long and slow query to get data to my GridView and I got lot of data, but when I'm changing page it loads as slow as at the start, it loads full data again and again, how to load data once and use paging without data loading?

inserted a data grid view control with paging.What I don't like is when the user hovers the numbers for the paging, the autoformat is classic, when the user hovers, there is a white box and the number dissapears because the box and the number have the same color,
I am having a change password page in that when the user change his password and click on submit i will show a message and will redirect to main form. But the text which i like to display is not displaying. What i need is i would like to have the page in the same form for few amount of time and then redirect to the desired one.

Is there a slick way to convert simple numbers (Army time included) to a time format (am, pm format)? I can do the tedious approach, but I was just wondering if there was another way
I want to know how to make up dropdown lists with numbers in them and and the end of the page as you selected the numbers they add themselfs up and you see a total at bottom the page
drop down list one 50
drop down list two 55
drop down list three 35
TOTAL IS _____140 _______
(and the end of the page when you select one number in each dropdown list) it adds it up for you and shows your total on the same page
I have 2 time columns and a difference column. All of these has a varchar datatype. I converted the time in h.mm format. Now I need to round it off to the nearest quarter/half hour(h:15 = h.25, h.30 = h.50, h.45 = h.75) after calculating the difference between the two time values.

I am trying to implement UpdateProgress on the GridView. I want to show the Progress image in the center of the Gridview. I added onUpdate javascript function that gets the corrdinates of the grid to supposedly show the progress control in the middle. It does show in the middle of the Grid except for the first time. First time when I click on the grid (pagination/sort), the progrss control is displayed center left edge of the grid. Not sure

I have a problem using the calendar control on asp.net. Whenever I pick a date from the calendar to input it on my table which is from sql server 2005, I the wrong time. For example the time today is 6pm, 12 AM will be shown on my table. What do you think is the problem?

I have datagridview with paging enabled. But when I want to move from page to another page in the grid, then it only works when I press the 2nd time on some other page. I read some on the internet that I need to bind the data of the gridview but the thing is, I cant bind the data again because the gridview was filled with data in the page_load from querystring and I dont really want to go over the querystring again in the PageIndexChanging function.
I have a asp.net page which has been url rewritten and when im sorting my gridview or paging it via my custom pager it works.
This works fine for first postback to the using the update panel, but 2nd postback the url has changed to the wrong url. When u view source the form action= is still point to correct url, but updatepanel / datagrid is ignoring this and using some other url.
why and how can i ensure this url is always the rewritten version used for updatepanel postbacks?
