Mobiles :: Web.config PredicateClass / Error Saying It Can't Find The ASW_Skin_Mobile.Presentation.Adapters.AswMobilePageHtmlAdapter Class?
Jan 25, 2010
i'm using custom adapters to identify devices. I'm adding them in web.config like this :
[Code]....
I have create a class named AswMobilePageHtmlAdapter liek this:
[Code]....
when I try to debug the web site it gives me an error that say that it can't find the ASW_Skin_Mobile.Presentation.Adapters.AswMobilePageHtmlAdapter class.
I have been trying to create a sql statement that uses a subquery to join 2 oracle tables to create a strongly typed table adapter. For example:
Select productName, (select categoryName from categories where categories.category_id = products.category_id) as Category from Products
The ASP .Net tutorial I am working through recommends using subqueries instead of joins for the insert, update and delete commands to be automatically generated by Visual Studio 2010. When I click Finish in the table adapter wizard I get the following error (I am using MySQL version 5.1 and the MySQL Data Connector 6.3.5)
Generated SELECT statement. Error in SELECT clause: expression near 'SELECT'. Error in SELECT clause: expression near 'FROM'. Missing FROM clause. Error in SELECT clause: expression near','. Unable to parse query text.
I have a web site that uses the both c# and vb.net in the app_code section. The different languages are separated into their own folder and correctly configured in the web.config.
This works fine 95% of the time. In production using 2 load balanced servers I sporadically receive an error message along the lines of:
"Unable to find assembly 'App_SubCode_BasicCode.xxx, Version=0.0.0.0, Culture=netural, PublicKeyToken=null'.
The site is hosted in IIS7 and I think it has something to do with the name of the dll assigned during dynamic compilation. I do not see this problem in a single server environment. Could this be because when the session is balanced to the second server the dynamic compiled dll name is different?

I'm trying to create an XmlReader class instance to read an xml file. However I pass it a url for the xml file but it isn't resolved. what do I have to do to get the proper url?
I have built an ASP.NET (.NET v4) application in VS 2010. It is working just fine. But when I try to create deployment package (so I can deploy it in our test IIS 7.5 Server), it gives me error like this,
Error 1 Could not open Source file: Could not find file 'C:11-2 estobjDebugCSAutoParameterize ransformedWeb.config'. 0 0 test
Thing is in past, I had deployed the SAME application using the SAME method.
I have a tab bar already set up and working using CSS Friendly Controls, but how can I navigate to another page while keeping the selected tab as selected. Without the navigateurl everything works. The selected tab uses the selected css like it is suppose to.
The tab bar I have is dynamically created meaning the tab names are pulled from my db. I am allowing users to create tabs, so I cannot create a sitemap.
When I add the navigateurl the new page opens, but the selected tab does not work.
I have a dataset which includes some Queries. Now I want to use my queries which I created with the dataset through sql transaction. I have two queries that must execute at the same time and if anything goes wrong it should roll back. Is it possible to use Sql Transaction with Dataset queries?
I'm trying to use ASP.NET Membership with ActiveDirectory authentication. The authentication with AD was working fine until I added another connection-string and roleManager. So, what's wrong with this setting?
EmptyDataTemplate and EmptyDataText not working in GridView
using CSS-Friendly Control Adapters removes the data that would would be populated by EmptyDataTemplate or specified in EmptyDataText in GridView. One of the solutions is to disable the addapters for GridView components as specified in this answer Is there a solution, that would allow to keep the use of CSS-Friendly Control Adapters for GridView and still take advantage of EmptyDataTemplate functionality?
I am using both the Mobile Device Browser File and a custom .browser file.
In the custom .browser file, there are several ControlAdapters registered. I would like to specify in my custom .browser file to use different ControlAdapters if the detected device is mobile (provided the Mobile Device Browser File lists it as mobile). How do I do that in my custom .browser file? I do not want to modify the Mobile Device Browser File.I am using something like this, but it is not working

Using raw nhibernate (no Fluent), is there a way to put class mapping in web.config, rather than in embedded xml? I can't seem to find any documents on this
Currently in my personal website I'm building I'm using a global static Config class to hold everything configurable I might need to change that is semi-global. So right now it looks about like this:
[code]....
Is using a global config class like this an anti-pattern of some sort? Also, I prefer for my connection strings to be outside of web.config. I like my web.config to be as minimal as possible.

I've added a class library project to my application.
In one of my classes, I need to use the MembershipUser class, but the project can't find it. I've added references to System.Web, System.Web.Security, and System.Security.Principal.
share your thoughts if there is any way to encrypt app.config section with out changing code? I know that we can use aspnet_regiis.exe to encrypt the web.config file.
I came across some blogs to rename app.config to web.config and run aspnet_regiis -pef command. I am able to create an encrypted version of app.config file but application failed to read the keys from encrypted app.config. so this approach didnt work for me.
I a custom config file which I am having problems reading from a class project, is there a simple way to do this? the path does not seem to be getting picked up in code, where as this works in a web project
I'm programatically looking ito a .aspx file and getting the file class name declared in its CodeBehind. For example, when analyzing myFile.aspx I read in its Page Directive and found its CodeBehind equals "myApplicationmyPage.aspx.vb". Then I use the code below:
[Code]....
Now I want to read the BaseFile (class = myApplication.Forms.BasePage). However, to read in this file, I need I need to get its full path instead of its namespace.class hiearchy. In this case, the BasePage is wrapped in a different namespace declaration thus I cannot just change the '.' to '' in order to get the path. How can I get the path of BasePage so I can read it?
