I have a dataset which includes some Queries. Now I want to use my queries which I created with the dataset through sql transaction. I have two queries that must execute at the same time and if anything goes wrong it should roll back. Is it possible to use Sql Transaction with Dataset queries?

I've got an odd problem and can't figure out what's causing it. We've got 2 different DataSets in the same project and I'm seeing different generated code from the MSDataSetGenerator. Both projects are .NET Framework 4.
In one DataSet, I can open the .Designer.cs file and there's a line like:
[Code]....
This essentially exposes a Transaction property to any partial class I create so I can do with it what I want (by setting it to something).
In the other DataSet no matter what I try to do, this Transaction property never gets generated. I've right-clicked on both DataSets and chose "Run Custom Tool" to get them to regenerate (I've even tried deleting the .Designer.cs file before doing this) and they both get generated the same.
I tried to make sure all the properties of the DataSets were the same. Both are using .NET Framework 4.0 and VS2010.
The file that does not generate the Transaction was from a .NET 1.0 asp.net web site that has continually been upgraded through different .NET versions. Right now it's at 4.0 but I don't know if that would have anything to do with it.
I've got all of my ASP.NET requests wrapped in a Session and a Transaction that gets commited only at the very end of the request. At some point during execution of the request, I would like to insert an object and make it visible to other potential threads - i.e. split the insertion into a new transaction, commit that transaction, and move on. The reason is that the request in question hits an API that then chain hits another one of my pages (near-synchronously) to let me know that it processed, and thus double submits a transaction record, because the original request had not yet finished, and thus not committed the transaction record.
So I've tried wrapping the insertion code with a new SessionScope, TransactionScope(TransactionMode.New), combination of both, flushing everything manually, etc. However, when I call Refresh on the object I'm still getting the old object state. Here's some code sample for what I'm seeing:

I have a tab bar already set up and working using CSS Friendly Controls, but how can I navigate to another page while keeping the selected tab as selected. Without the navigateurl everything works. The selected tab uses the selected css like it is suppose to.
The tab bar I have is dynamically created meaning the tab names are pulled from my db. I am allowing users to create tabs, so I cannot create a sitemap.
When I add the navigateurl the new page opens, but the selected tab does not work.

i am thinking of GridView, however, it lacks of add new row function and lack of bulkediting.
then i found RealWorld BulkEditGridView, it's a good in handling bulkedit, and has new row function, however, it can function well only on load. the problem will appear if i add up a new button, which function to add up InsertRowCount property, a row is created as expected, however, all my previous entry in "new row" are gone.
i have retrieved data from the database and stored in dataset.i have to add an additonal row to it,update the data in data set and delete data from the data set..

I have been trying to create a sql statement that uses a subquery to join 2 oracle tables to create a strongly typed table adapter. For example:

I am using both the Mobile Device Browser File and a custom .browser file.
In the custom .browser file, there are several ControlAdapters registered. I would like to specify in my custom .browser file to use different ControlAdapters if the detected device is mobile (provided the Mobile Device Browser File lists it as mobile). In my project I work with Entity Framework (LINQ to ENTITY). I only have ADO.NET Entity Data Model and a DAL (Data Access Layer). I also get the data due a WCFClientService. I have a gridview that needed to be exported in Excel.
FlexCel is a tool for generating Excel files based on a template. The only thing I see in demo's is that they work with DataSets.
Is there a way to convert the data in my gridview to a virtual DataSet?

What I am thinking is this? Is it possible for me to upload the data from an excel file to dataset of my application first, so that the user can view the data in a gridview to review it first, before the user strike the save button, to save it in the database. So, that in case there is a problem, the gridview will high light all the data with an error. So the user can easily pull out the excel and correct the data before saving it in the database.

I want to know how much data is recommended to make transaction in web application at a time. I have 30,000 data. I want to insert and update in different transaction. I have a formview and inside it there are two textboxes taking integer as input.I put a condition that if both textboxes are empty then user should be notified that "Please put value in any one of the textbox".It is working very fine.From database side DBA checked that if user input any integer value in any one of the two textboxes and if it is already found in database then there is no insertion.The problem is that everything is working fine and i checked in the database that the record is also not inerting due to duplicate check but user is getting message that "Record inserted successfully."How to stop this message and how to notify user that you have entered duplicate value and transaction should also not been done. Means all inputs should be there rather than clearing textboxes that could be done when "Record Inserted."

My admin set innodb_buffer_pool_size=512M, innodb_log_file_size=128M, and innodb_log_buffer_size=1M although in mysql query show global variables its showing what the value is set. When i restart my system also its showing what we set the data.(It means we set log file buffer file size to max and its working fine.) but when i try to upload a file of 58 mb again its throwing error as The size of BLOB/TEXT data inserted in one transaction is greater than 10% of redo log size.

I'm then populating a gridview with the data from the dataset.
Before each row of data is displayed on the website, I need to check and make sure the user has proper permissions to view that data.
Can this be done with a gridview(or any other .NET data control)?
Or would I need to loop through the data manually, and then write each row out manually?
i was wondering if i could capture transaction time automatically. e.g. if form has a grid submit button and user clicks submit button to submit changes on a grid to database, is there a way to capture start time when user clicked the button and reply user got back from page?

I means either both operations should succeed or I should not lose my physical file or its information in database.
